Just to clarify (and repeat myself) then, I don't. I am not in the spurious claims game. I speculated...in the absence of any detailed or informed facts from the people who will know the real reasons. Nature hates a vacuum.....because angry ****s will fill it with OPINIONS which mutate into FACTS if repeated by enough people. The KCOM is a PL pitch.....this is not BP in the 1990s when any local **** got to play on it. Do the math. I suggest you or anyone else with questions for the SMC contact them directly, I'm not their spokesperson or confidante. Hopefully they will answer fully and truthfully, although I wouldn't hold my breath..... I wonder what Marco Silva thinks about non PL games of any code being played on the KCOM pitch?
You are accusing others of making spurious claims. If the reason given in the media was spurious don't you think the SMC would have shouted it from the rooftops, demolishing their detractors in the process? You speculated? You stated, repeatedly, a load of spurious nonsense as it it was fact and based on PL regulations.
Why can't ticket sales of say £5 each cover most of the cost? Surely the game would attract 500 spectators generating £2500 which is half the cost. Or are the SMC expecting no revenue ?
a) No. Not necessarily. The SMC don't seem to give a **** what people say/think. Deal with it. b) Re-read my previous posts on the thread. I spec-u-late-d. Have you emailed Marco Silva yet about his opinions on non PL games being played on our pitch? Would you like me to speculate (or 'state' in your world) what his view on that might be?
You really are struggling on this one, which is unlike you. I don't know Silva's opinion about non PL games played the shared, not our, pitch as there is nothing he can do about it as FC have as much right to be there as we are.
I really am struggling to stay awake on this one. I imagine after Silva's comments about the RL being played the day before the Swansea game that he will have made it clear that he wants the best pitch possible and that extra fixtures on it should be ****ed off. My speculation of course. Hull City> Hull FC> local amateur matches regardless of public 'outcry' My OPINION not documented FACT
The fact that Silva wasn't happy with a RL game being played the day before a City game doesn't mean he would have a nervous breakdown over an amateur final being played after City's season had ended and 3 months before they were due to play on it again. Another spurious speculation. I
My speculation: Silva ' Please we need to have the best possible pitch. No more non essential games. BASTA'
The SMC issued a statement yesterday, saying that the reason they wouldn't host it is because three weeks wasn't enough time to organise it, but they were already talking to the East Riding FA about the next final, so it could be hosted next year. It's quite obviously nothing to do with pitch damage, they could even have arranged it after the season had finished.
