Get in on it! We have some boys involved! With the form of Pickford, Gunn will be a back up I would have thought. I think Jacob has a fair chance for starting games. It is encouraging to recognise so many names in that list that have been involved in first team games for premiership and championship sides
This is a little article of players to watch at the tournament. Interesting to see the last player on the list mentioned...... https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...-championship-10-players-watch-england-poland
0-0 at half time. Tight game. Jacob was so close to scoring. Hairs width away from the crossbar. Showing his self confidence to take the shot on.
Yup. Just like watching the Main Team. Gave away a Pen at 0-0!! Pickford! The new record British transfer pulls off a double save to keep it 0-0!!!! Was a poor pen and Rebound, but Pickford deserve all the credit. He looked so cool under the pressure.
England U21s beat Iceland U21s 3-0 in a behind closed doors friendly on the 10th June. Two goals for Murphy and one for Abraham. Only just read about that. No wonder he started the tournament. That and the half way line goal Rio went mad on Twitter about. Things are really moving forward nicely for Jacob. It feels a lot like a: Redmond, Gray etc. Where they perform well at Club level, Carry that on into England Youth. The confidence and performances grow. A Premiership transfer often isn't far off from here.
England beat Slovakia 2-1 with Jacob on at half time at RIGHT BACK. Makes the first goal, Redmond, whoever he is, with the second. Jacob was rated 8/10 for his performance. So was Redmond, whoever he is. Abraham was MOM with 9/10.
At least our cover for right back is now resolved meaning Rusty can be free to take up his place at CB
Oh for god sake! Just seen the last group game is tomorrow evening. I was out at a gig on Monday night when they played. I'm out at a gig on Thursday too. First game is the only one I've been able to watch. Bet that will be the only 0-0 game England have.
We saw Russell Brand at the Theatre Royal on Tuesday, and we are going to See Adam Buxton's Bug show at the Playhouse tomorrow night.
