So... team then lads? Gk: Will mingolet start? GK is one of those klopp seems to give lads every chance to take the spot away from mingolet. RB: Taa is a shoe in imo. Clyne just is not right LB; I just have this feeling milner will start. despite it all will klopp revert to this? I don't know. You'd think one of the other two have done enough to convince the guy to give them a go CB: simple Matip and lovren no 6: Henderson No 8: Can IMO and coutinho if not sold. If he is not sold but doesn't play its incredibly serious front 3... simple again mane, salah, firmino It seems to me the only real areas of contention should be around full backs.
I think Clyne is still out injured so TAA will start. And I really hope either Moreno or Robertson start because they are far more aggressive full backs than Milner - we need that speed and overlapping runs to help beat low blocks.
You would wonder wouldn't you what more they'd need to do to show klopp... well robertson maybe has a bit to do having arrived later but moreno has done ok. I would certainly agree that in this game coming up the last thing we need is a guy with no left foot facing away form watfords goal every time he controls it as it will only aid thier cause. I would hope that we see a bit more "spatial awareness" from henderson also. Away form home we need him sitting right between those two CBs not wandering about as we will get done o nthe break if he doesn't sit there. I think this game is one for both full backs to be right up the pitch and we know silva will be just waiting for it.
What? Really, season that close and we haven't signed anyone yet? That stinks. I'm going with my usual prediction: We're doomed. But we will win by 2 goals.
Mig TAA Matip Lovren Moreno Gini Hendo Cout Salah Firm Mane someone needs to bring back the let's ****ing do this meme
Thats my choice. Thinking how strong our bench is this season now. Can, Milner, Sturridge, Origi, Solanke, Woodurn, Klavan.
Stronger than it was last year to be fair. Actually have international experienced players available.
thats all relative. Storng just suggests it is just plain strong. stronger suggests its just a bit better. IMO: If lfc had have got keita and vvd... neither of which will happen obviously then we would have been looking at lovren not klavan on the bench and lallana and can and wijnaldum on the bench.. IMO the issue we have now is we are potential facing NO cover for salah and mane at all if coutinho goes. as it stands you have 3 strikers, no 9s for one spot on that bench as well. so thats unbalanced.
I was just listing squad players who improve us. Obviously it's missing a keeper. Bare in mind last year we had zero bench this season is obviously an improvement. We have a player who Juve want, two internationals and a youth player who was voted player of the tournament. Wouldn't say it's terrible at all.
I reckon we will win comfortably. Think it may be Gomez at RB and i hope it isn't Milner at LB purely because i always prefer the players who are performing get the place. As both Moreno & Robertson (the little we have seen ) have deffo been better than Milner one of them should get the spot. So Milner it is
Add a keeper in Karius to that bench and it just gets worse. Sturridge should have been sold and replaced, Origi is incredibly inconsistent, Solanke and Woodburn are kids, klavan fair enough thats our failure of van Dijk pursuit and Milner I think we all agree on being a utility player and nothing more. We are exactly the same as last season with a fairly good starting 11 and absolute w@nk behind it. Potentially to get even worse if Coutinho goes. We have not progressed this summer
Strong bench? The first XI doesn't even look particularly strong to me. . Still they managed 4th once and have more experience now. Thank you Mr. Klopp.
