What could go wrong already did and there isn't much to say about this game apart from it will go down in the history of Plymouth Argyle as one of the greatest achievements of all time even greater than England winning the World Cup in 1966. This is the match where every Argyle player who is out on the pitch suddenly turns into the world class players we alll know them to be and produce the performance of the season and even Century. The minimum score will be 0 - 4 which along with Rochdale suddenly turning Barcelona like and thrashing Charlton will crown this magnificent season of our's. We will go on to win both legs of the play off qualifying games and turn Wembley into a sea of green once more. Having got to Wembley we will then thrash the team against us whoever it might be. Carey will be voted the next Prime Minister and Sonny Bradley will be offered the hand of the next born princess of this realm. One day he might become King Sonny the first. All that has to happen is the above comes true on the day so I will ask the question "what could possibly go wrong". COYG
It's a new post made just for him which is Prime Minister of Europe when we reverse that stupid vote.
Well I remember not so long ago when we needed something on the last day. Nerves stretched all around but not amongst the players who larrupped poor Newport County 6-1......... Sent from my mobile phone - E&OE
All the best today lads I would be more than happy if you beat @brb 's Gillingham 1-8 so long as we draw with Dale One word of warning... don't try to lump balls into the box... Gills keeper is enormous!! He had a worldy when he played us earlier in the season.
No need to worry AllHell....we're down to the bare bones of our squad.....I'm sure some of our players would go out with their crutches if the ref let them....I'm taking my old leather boots which I used to use playing local league football in Bromley in the 1950/60s.....now where did I put my dubbin.....at 79 I think i'll give it a miss.....just travelling down to Gillingham will leave me knackered anyway.
Enjoy Gill's meccano stand mate.... get there early as the away stand only has four gates.... took me almost an hour to get in earlier this season. Have a good day Make sure you have a hat!
I'm here half watching Stoke v West Ham and have had a sudden shock. I thought that all games on the final day kicked off at the same time. In fact, Sky are showing Rochdale v Charlton at 5:30. Rochdale will be down if Oldham win and only need a draw if Oldham lose. Charlton only need a draw which opens up a very bad situation. Charlton will know our result before they kick off. What the hell are the EFL playing at? Sent from my mobile phone - E&OE
Or then again not a problem if ALL the kick-offs are at 5:30 lol. How did I miss that? Sent from my mobile phone - E&OE
I was trying to be kind Joe. I couldn't say that the private sector miss a lot of things................don't tell him though.
Fletcher starts, Miller in for the injured Threlkeld and Songo'o in for Ness Sent from my mobile phone - E&OE
Argyle concede. Gillingham get a runner free in Argyle's right back position who beats Matthews on the near post with a bending shot. Sent from my mobile phone - E&OE
Argyle equalise (missed it cooking dinner, paella). Gillingham take it back though, running through the middle of defence this time. Missing usual muscle in centre midfield and Bradley perhaps not fully fit. Sent from my mobile phone - E&OE
Argyle concede a third. Simple back post header from a corner. Whimper not a bang by the looks of it but only 2 senior players on the bench tells the story doesn't it? Sent from my mobile phone - E&OE
Did they not read the fecking script? They got the number of goals right and even Charlton did their bit by losing but they didn't get them in the right order for the right teams. If you want something doing you have to do everything yourself these days. Been a good season so I'm not going to complain.
How on earth did we manage that .....we made Gillingham look like the Rolls Royce of goal scoring machines.....this is the same Gillingham that until today had only won 4 home league games all season. Where we playing four at the back or three ?....it was hard to tell....some times is was two and sometimes it looked like one. Ok we needed goals...but I can assure you it wasn't because we where pouring forward hunting for goals....in fact we looked completely devoid of ideas up front....and there was no sign of a mid-field ever. No one stood out in the team....Carey didn't cause any threat and Lameiras was even less noticeable......no one could be classed as our MoM.....we where so ordinary that Gary Millar looked ok. Anything we tried kept breaking down and Gillingham just moved forward and with no real effort just walked through the gaps we left all over the field....I was just cringing.....Bradley came up front in the second half and won a few lay offs with his heading ability....but there was no one getting on the end of them.....we had three youngsters on at the end....but they never stood a chance.....we gave the attackers nothing but scraps to feed on and Gillingham started to look like Barcelona. At least the Green Army saw the funny side of it and sung all the time to drown out the pathetic Gillingham supporters.....I expect they where in shock....they're not used to winning at home and certainly not used to scoring five goals. On that performance Derek Adams will have no problem deciding who to release or put on the transfer list....all of them.
