how can anybody laugh at the replies to the comments on the thread when the OP was a geordie admitting defeat? also i have to say i like newcastle and well done for fighting back, you are a credit to the league, but i have tried to go easy on barton on the past but im sorry he is a ****ing **** and i cant stand him. tiote is a player though if only we had him instead of diaby. come on wolves!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it was mainly because had he not been on the field, Diaby would have been. I can see no difference between his challenge and Gerrard's against United
I think his foul on Diaby was reckless but mainly its because he just generally can't stand any of our players, which is mainly shown by the constant fouling of them
I don't hate players for being good, hence why I have nothing against Messi. I don't mind saying that Barton is a decent enough player because the reason I hate him is because he is a piece of ****.
http://vodpod.com/watch/5512782-joey-barton-bad-tackle-on-abou-diaby-newcastle-arsenal And please don't give me any of your 50/50 challenge nonsense after what happened to ben arfa
Look at it again. He clearly went for the ball and got it. The trouble is a lot of your supporters think opposing teams have no right to make robust challenges.
Whether or not he got the ball doesn't matter, he went through Diaby with two feet off the ground and his studs up. That is technically a red card.
I dispute that entirely. He got the ball with his left while his right was still on the ground. Granted his right made contact with Diaby after he played the ball, but that was purely accidental.
Nothing happened to Barton either. Both were shocking challenges and red card offences. the only difference is diaby got lucky which is a 1st for him considering he has been out for very long periods due to shocking challenges from that scumbag dan smith and paul blobinson too. like I said, I have nothing against newcastle. great club and you deserve better than that fat prick ashley and well done for fighting back and making PL history but Joey Barton is still a ****
oh shut up de jong got the ball too when he broke ben arfa's leg it was still a shocking challenge that he should have seen red for
But the intention, or otherwise, is irrelevant. The game has got to a stage where that is at least a booking, I repeat that that was pretty much a carbon copy of Gerrard's challenge against United in the F.A cup. The refereeing is just inconsistent.
It's a simple question: are you allowed to go for the ball in a tackle or not? If not, it is a non-contact sport and we might as well watch netball. Honestly, Arsenal have now got the reputation of squealers , and some referees take this into account when making decisions. Your manager, and the players he infulences, don't do you any favours.
an arsenal fan was on radio 5 earlier sayin "barton went in with one foot and won the ball but he could have broken his leg so should have been sent of"f....!!! how does that logic work! And sittin very close to where the arsenal goalie 'fell over' it was not a sending off - a yellow card at best which nolan got (as did the goalie for time wasting. Havin said that to be time wasting when you are 4-1 up you gotta worry about your teams confidence. NUFC stepped up to the cahllenge led by midfield - arsenal simply bottled it!
Barton got the ball but didn't have any intent to hurt, not a card. It is a contact sport remember, or has Wenger tried to take that out of Arsenal nowadays? Quit crying about it, second half you were simply outclassed and almost lost. Just look to the next game like every other team's fans do.
