Watching the whole build up and goal to the theme of ‘Titanic’ makes me more emotional than seeing my kids being born......I hope there’s more to come.
That's hilarious on their matchday thread when you read all the positive posts with their predictions etc up until the point where we scored. ( Haven't got any further than that yet but can't wait until when Eze makes it 2-0. )
And seeing the stats in the Brentford v Birmingham match cheer me up even more.....it’s been a great day
Yes and yes mate. The Moon Palace Nizuc. Have you been ? Gotta say best all inclusive I’ve ever been to. I can eat and drink all day and am beginning to resemble a baby whale. Quality of grub is spot on and plenty to keep the kids occupied.
The report from BBC Sport Stoke City 1-2 QPR: Jordan Hugill on target to give Mark Warburton winning start http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49135726 As Kiwi correctly mentioned, we did not have one corner and we lost the corner stars 7-0! Who cares!
Only 5 shots too, 3 on target, 45% possession. We played some good football at times, took 2 of our few chances and looked defensively well organised, but lots to work on there especially the last 20 minutes or so, so hopefully Warburton will max the confidence boost, but keep them working hard to improve. Just 1 game which could easily have been lost. Lumley saved us early on after Scowen's frightening back pass, but he was all over the place on high crosses, seemed to punt long more often than I expected in Warburton style, and seemed a bit nervy with the ball at his feet. He'll need to improve to keep his place in the 11.
He’s bezzie mates with Eze. Can probably claim an assist for the goal given his lack of attempt to stop it.
Might be the way the highlights were edited but Twitter has just revealed to me quite what a quality team goal Eze's was, lots of slick passing and then some individual quality. I'll take a few more of those.
There were some great passages of play during the game. One stoke fan sat next to me said, I cant ****ing believe qpr are out playing us.
I expected “mistakes” and we had one very early one from Scowen with his suicidal back pass which Lumley did very well to rescue. Perhaps we were lucky and possibly it was the key moment in the game, as had we gone one down very early, then it would have been a very different game. However our Plan A was to be be offensive and adventurous, and it paid off with an early goal. We then went to Plan B which was to contain and hit on the break. Again it proved successful with a second goal and it is a pity we could not get a third (the Scowen miss for example). For the last 20 minutes we went to a Plan C which was to defend our lead. This was probably our weakest period of the match, but we somehow held on. We can see a new style of play as well as implementation if good and variable tactics, contrary to the pre-conceived comments on Mark Warburton. What is not to like about it, especially as it should develop and get better.
A very pleasant report to read: https://www.caughtoffside.com/2019/...act-to-qprs-stunning-team-goal-against-stoke/
First game with some new players appearing to bed in very well. Will be interesting to see if we are still complimenting the team after 10 games or so. Eze took his goal very well. Hugill had a fab start....hopefully we are the team that compliments him, and vice versa Great start MW - more of the same please
