Haven’t seen the rest of the conversation but let’s not get at each other. We all hurt a great deal, but negativity really should be aimed at the club
I’m not in any way absolving Ralph of blame, but if anyone thinks this is just down to him you need to give your head a wobble.
So is Abramovich, but Chelsea's done okay. Every player on the pitch today was either signed when KL was a primary owner, or by Les Reed. We've spent a decent amount of money on players, it's just that the team still sucks. The team wasn't great and then Gao wrecked it. Most supporters wanted Puel sacked. Most supporters thought it was great that we were playing hardball and not selling VVD. Most supporters wanted Hughes signed. And later, Ralph.
Just putting this out there. A manager's job is more than picking the 11. It is organising and motivating the team. Cannot say he has managed much of that this year.
Agreed. But this bloke has been a prick longer than Ralph. One of those that only crops up in a crisis.
The biggest problem over the last few seasons for me has been our recruitment. The best we have achieved is a few average players and Redmond who is finally developing into a good one. Hard to judge how good a manager is when all he can do is organise lumps of ****.
Yeah he's been truly amazing. We stayed up because Cardiff were ****e. He managed to engineer two defeats to them, and was responsible for a team that threw away numerous leads in 80+ minutes. We stayed up by the skin of our ****ing teeth last season. We have the joint highest Premier league defeat (and at ****ing home) and there's still people defending him?? What the **** has he got to do to get criticised on here? Bestiality on Sat afternoon in West Quay? Set fire to an orphan? Launch Nukes starting WW3? As I said before, ****ing deluded.
Missed the game after the first goal, had to rush my daughter to an A&E hospital with acute vomiting, still there and likely to be here overnight. Puts this dire result into perspective. Ralph has to go after this, he cannot come back from this. I cannot comment on the game, obviously, but the players must have given up. He is a good coach but not sure tactically he has what it takes, his previous No.2. seems to have been the tactics guru. At present, he seems more the Alpine Tinkerman than an Alpine Klopp....
Yeah, that's about right. Of course it's not JUST down to him... but it's hard to say it isn't at least PARTIALLY down to him. But unfortunately, we need to do something quick and RH is the only thing we can do anything about right now. It just looks like a total systemic failure right now, unfortunately. It's not one thing, it's everything. I don't know how you can fix that very easily.
