And the commentator says much to admire about the way Leipzig play the game. Really? Am I so biased I can't see it? Did they really not body check us every time we moved forward? You have to admire the way they stop Spurs forward movement. Do you really? OK we were bad and didn't deserve to win but those kind of observations are quite sickening or are they just ill informed? Or is it me making it all up?
Pros: Tanganga flattening Upamecano, pirouetting in mid-air and landing on his feet. Cons: The rest of the match.
I think Levy instructed Jose to focus on the PL in an attempt to qualify for the CL next season. I'm not suggesting the players gave up today but Jose wasn't trying too hard today as evident by the timing and choices of the subs.
Nicked from elsewhere Imagine being the person at Amazon who suggested filming Spurs for a season; they probably expected a prem title challenge, an excellent Champions League campaign, maybe a few other title races. Instead they’ve got in-team fights, a new manager, crashing out of the Carabao cup, FA cup and Champions League, players that want to be anywhere else and money-tight club owner. But don’t worry, at the least the new stadium will get some excellent coverage time ...in other words, a nice double bill with Fyre
Consistency= RB total fouls 21---2 yellows Spurs 12 fouls----4 yellows Once you are on a yellow you are frightened to put in another tackle leaving attackers free to run at you. If you are not on a yellow , you know that a tackle will mean a card. On the other hand.......................................
Without considerable investment, and by considerable I mean monumental, then it’ll be a while. Gerry Francis days are back!
Levy has already said that lack of champions league will impact the summer budget. He also mentioned the net spend in the last two windows whilst thinking we all forgot about the lack of a significant net spend from the 3-4 years before.
Yeah I read it too. If that does prove to be the case, he best get used to low attendances every game because without a solid amount of quality players coming in, there’s **** all to entice the non-die hard fans to matches barring about 3-4 players and 2 of them (Kane and Son) probably won’t be around for longer than one more season.
