From the BBC English football will be suspended until at least 30 April because of the continued spread of coronavirus. All games in England's Premier League, EFL, Women's Super League and Women's Championship, and all fixtures in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, are currently postponed. The Football Association has also agreed that the current season can be "extended indefinitely". They seem to be suggesting they can play this season alongside next season. I thought they would do anything they could to preserve income but extending indefinitely sounds a little crazy.
I think that the football industry is in for a bit of a shock as to how little people care about this right now. Personally, it's a long way down a very long list.
We'll add that to the list of bodies making decisions while Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson hides in yet another fridge

Morning guys,I'm still here thank ****. Got a text message from a mate yesterday he said I have to look after you old ****er now your in isolation if you need anything let me know cheeky ****er is only 2 years younger than me.
Heard from one of my sisters last night. Her eldest is continuing to fight Hodgkins Lymphoma - he was on that BBC Horizon programme Teens v Cancer in 2018. Unfortunately, his cancer's back and recent treatment has left his immune system in tatters. She has 2 other kids who are away at college. Either they commit to going into isolation for months or they're going to have to live away from the family home for some time. They live 2 roads away from us, so we'll very readily have them and can create the room. It's really getting somewhere towards Sophie's Choice for some families. On a slightly weirder front, Mrs B's mate, who lives in The States most of the time, is stranded in Peru. If you're bored and have a couple of minutes, could you fill out this online petition to try to get her back home? This is the address... http://chng.it/pQdCLbhxTv Thanks.
Just watched sky news reporter going into one of the hospitals in Italy scenes were horrific ,we have tough times coming our way . Its a tough choice whatever the government do but lockdown must surely be coming.
I agree its got to happen, it's a horrible thought, but this is a full blown crisis and extreme measures are required and if that is what it takes then so be it
I think the senior citizens around my area will find it difficult. I hadn't realised how 'bolshie' they are in a gentle sort of way! Our local post office got flooded in the recent storms so we have to go a couple of miles to the next one which is in a lovely old black & white pub complete with a cosy tea room & wood burner. As I was there anyway I thought I may as well have one last lunch out before self imprisonment, sorry isolation and was struck by how many others were in there, all OAPs. The conversation was a hoot! Plenty of nostalgia about food shortages, greedy b's, rationing, make do and mend & wartime reminiscences, the general gist being when your numbers up its up. I have a feeling they will carry on lunching out in a very quiet, rural little village unless ordered otherwise!
