Why do they make scented toilet roll? Surely it all ends up smelling the same? People have no idea how far 2 metres is. Some people think it's 2 feet, someone waiting in line at the supermarket thought it was about 5 metres. Are we currently experiencing the humanitarian crisis that will change the outlook of the world and see people prioritise their lives in a way where wealth is much lower down the list of importance?
Health has to be top of everyone's priority. secondly comes happiness imo everything else is peripheral. PS wealth whilst nice to have, which I havent, is nothing without my first two comments.
Your toilet roll question perhaps partly answers your question . When it’s all over , some people will quickly carry on as they were , some will be saying “ why did we ever keep on buying certain things , we just haven’t missed them”. They make toilet rolls scented probably because it’s cheap to do so , and the mugs will cough up a premium price to have them.
I was wondering the same thing scented loo roll the other day but then I remembered our downstairs toilet where the babs nappies accumulate in a bag for a day or three and every little helps that can combat that evil.
Talking about toilet related matters. When we moved up here we lodged with in laws for 6 months. One morning my Mrs said to me 'Jack, do you mind striking a match after you have been for a ****?' I looked at her amazed at such a request, but she explained her mother had told her to tell me to do it. True story that.
I had moved back in with the parents after splitting up with the dragon anyway I used to like cooking and one day my sister arrived and went to the loo about 5 mins after I had "tipped the skip". When she came out she asked what I had for tea last night so I replied chilli. She replied "well I think you are putting too much garlic in it"
Why do Asian people try and smuggle so much food into Australia? I've been watching Nothing to Declare and they have suitcases full of food that they haven't declared.
I guess it's like the Brits who take loads of tins of beans and stuff to Spain cos they think they won't be able to get them or that they'll be much more expensive.
If we're not allowed outside why are we still having weather forecasts? Surely that's just cruel and inhumane punishment.
Holy Island crossing times, daily checks on R N traffic and travel, surely anybody who lives in the vicinity will already know, and as for the rest of the North East why would we want to. ?
When you walk round the Lakes you often find a decent boot on a wall top and you wonder who walks home not noticing they only have 1 boot on.
Unusual for the odd sock to venture outdoors when their normal behaviour is to bury themselves in the back of a drawer to undergo metamorphose to the wire hanger seen in the wardrobe .
I live near Thirsk and when the races are on we get coach loads of people from the North East descending on the town all dressed up and then NOT going to the races but instead sitting in the pubs and darting back and forward to the bookies where they watch the racing on the telly. At 6pm they then get back on their coaches and head back north. Good for the local economy but I've never understood their thinking.
It's insane isn't it ... .... they're defence is always to forget they can speak English, look confused and say 'medicine' over and over. It's the Chinese version of 'the dog ate my homework'
It's insane the amount they bring. Could understand a few snacks to tide them over until they can get to a shop, but not several suitcases full! Also the number of people who turn up on a tourist visa but bring several documents covering work history and qualifications and claim they just happened to fall into their suitcase accidentally is astonishing. I'll have to watch out for my exam certificates trying to go on holiday next time we go away
I know 4 people I would class as being “rich” 3 of them are miserly miserable bastards in their ivory towers. The other is a lad, like me, who just happened to create something which made him money very quickly. He loves life and is very happy. as you say, wealth means nothing to me if you can’t be happy and healthy with it
