The best owner fans could ask for. I've been living from day to day for so long now, it's like the future doesn't exist anymore. August, and the beginning of next season (for instance) might as well be 100 years away. That's how unreal it feels. Thomas Sandgaard obviously doesn't suffer from that. He sees clearly beyond the next week or two.
THere can't be another forum anywhere big or small that would be slating an owner like Thomas Sandgaard. I can't get my head round it.
That is another reason why I have stopped posting on ITTV. That thread about growing some bollocks is pathetic and disrespectful. Sandgaard is the perfect owner as far as I can see. He should be treated with respect.
TBF a few of us have complained about the title, but it's still there, and is a total embarrassment. Like you I have no wish to be associated with a forum that has that title, which completely at odds with what Charlton fans think. I've always respected the fact that Paul has kept his forum going for so long, but he's let himself down in this case.
FWIW, there is supposed to be an interview with Thomas Sandgaard on The Totally Football League Show on Thursday
I haven’t been a Charlton fan for all that long, maybe two or three years. All I’ve known from Charlton ownership is turbulence. From what I understand, the team was in threat of going under in the weeks prior to Thomas Sangaard’s purchase of the team (and later women’s team). The team put together throughout this season is flawed, but seems understandable given the circumstances. Rushed together a team to start the year with a salary cap and then transformed the team in the January window. Now, we will see how the season plays out. Seems unreasonable to me to think that he’s not doing enough.
Rather less likely than you being a Charlton fan. If you're implying @phamilly is Reams in disguise, I can't see the connection. The view he expressed is pretty much the polar opposite from Ream's position, with no hint of irony or sarcasm that I can see. It's a fair assessment of the way things are in my view. A most welcome post
That is the common consensus. However, some fans have less faith in the manager than they had in the summer, and naming and shaming players in public, which he has done a couple of times, usually ends badly. We're all desperate for him to succeed though.
Neither. I don't know the context of Bowyer's quote, or why he is struggling this season. But as far as I'm concerned TS can say what he likes. The guy saved our Club. But it seems his comments are not to the liking of some fans (though not on this forum as far as I know). The most cynical among the supporter base are already judging him unworthy of trust or respect. I find that utterly staggering. Perhaps a string of poor owners has made some incapable of believing any newcomer can be worthy of support and a little faith.
