Hope the lad gets his confidence back and form .. alas he always seemed to have a mistake in him towards the end of his first team appearances and you could see the confidence of the defence improve when Ingram returned. But as with all who have donned the shirt I wish him well.
Wish Longy the best of luck! But it does show how weird Championship clubs' recruitment is. He was our 2nd choice and on decent wages by McCann's comments too. Why do would they pay it? It doesn't make much sense to me. He looked a little shaky this season and was very poor for the second half of last year as well (very good in the first half though). I do also have to question somebody who goes to be a 2nd choice when he's approaching the prime of his career. I thought he'd want to go and play
Reversely, Ingram was generally playing 2nd fiddle at QPR, and he turns out to be our number one. Keepers are a funny breed, certain players seem to be affected with a lack of confidence very easily at times
That's Jordy and Long out of the door, both good players on their day but too many mistakes in their locker which will definitely be punished in the Championship - good business
But without being overly harsh, Ingram is probably a no.2 for a decent Championship side. He's a solid, steady keeper, but I'm hoping it's a position we see as a priority this summer. It's one of the few positions in the starting XI where we can improve
You are being overly harsh. Ingram has has a great season and has been as solid as we can expect from a keeper. He has made crucial saves at pivotal moments in many games and I hope he goes on to prove himself a solid keeper at this level.
Looks like this might happen, the lad has enjoyed his time in costa-del-Ull. Reagan slater, come on down !!!!
Little bit confused here (very easy at my age) i was under the impression that, the summer transfer window doesn't open till the back end of the first week in June , the 9th I think , if correct how come we're announcing this signing this week.
Is he technically still on loan to us until season-end, after the play-off final? Might that make a difference?
You can announce a signing anytime, the final formalities and registration etc just doesn't happen until the window opens
He's done well but it's a big step up. Plus Craig MacGillivray is available on a free and he'd be a good signing
How the **** would you know? And you think it wouldn’t be a step up for Portsmouth’s keeper You talk some right ****e
