Really? Jesus. They could charge less than £33 min for a home game, that's something more they could do.

They do if people take advantage of the various schemes. Some appear unwilling to pay monthly for a pass which works out at £15 a game. Maybe they don't want to commit to going so they can dib out if things are not going well? Funny how 20,000 could commit to going every week when we were in the PL and fork out the whole amount for the season in one lump sum.

Not so sure if the lack of commitment is purely to "dib out if things are not going well". The last 15 months will have been very hard on family finances. The three month cancellation may deter people if they are worried about their jobs, or catching covid and going onto sick pay.

They are if you take advantage of the various incentives(If you go to one game or even 2 games a season there's no advantage),any more you can lighten the load,in some cases considerably.

I don't honestly know how many I'll get this season but if it's only a couple I don't have any beef about it personally.I could of course walk a mile to Broadwood Stadium Cumbernauld and watch Clyde(bottom of Scottish League 1),it's only £17 and there's a decent pub next to it that I can go to after 20 minutes of suffering...Trouble is,it's £4 for a pint of cider and it's only £3 in Wetherspoons:emoticon-0101-sadsm

I feel like the club has done a poor job of highlighting the alternatives to those who can't commit to a membership.

By only plugging memberships or match day prices, they've immediately lost the middle ground of people who want to go to more than the odd game, but can't commit to every game. Especially when the 6 and 12 match saver cards allow you to pick and choose which games you watch, rather than have to watch 6 or 12 in a row, making them more flexible.

    Agree.
And good needed reminder from Ric about the match day card discount. I'd completely forgotten about that.

It's readily available on the Club Web Site.We live in a world where sourcing of information is relatively easy and I don't know of many people these days who don't look around for options when buying anything not just football tickets?

The fags I buy are £9.50 in Tesco but they're only £8.70 in the Spar...The manager didn't come knocking at my door or phoning me to personally inform me!!

People seem to be managing elsewhere. And a lot are having to pay up front.

    Christ what do people want!
    Solutions
Stop buying takeaways cook a meal bloody Macdonalds
    Stop drinking so much
Stop paying 2-50 for a Costa ( other brands are available )
Make a sandwich for work instead of buying a Sub or Greggs every day
do these then you might afford it!!
Nephew complained he couldn’t afford Sky when it was about £40 a month but spent £3-4 a day for his dinner at the local belly buster

if you are on the breadline it’s different but
If you really want to watch City you will find the money - in work or out , and I’ve been both I’ve made the sacrifices to get there
And hitched to away games - make an effort

    It's called effective marketing.

If the club constantly broadcasts ticket options 1 & 2 and they don't fit with what the person seeing those is looking for, they're not going to go looking for options 3, 4 or 5 which they haven't been told about as they don't know they exist - it's the reason clubs have Marketing teams and advertising budgets.

Makes it even worse when they're on said website you talk about, but there is no option to purchase one... 5 days before our first home game of the season.

Like I said, the club have been poor with the alternative options.

"If you really want to watch City you will find the money - in work or out , and I’ve been both I’ve made the sacrifices to get there
And hitched to away games - make an effort" - Congratulations, you were quite possibly the last hitchhiker I picked up. Tall blonde, miniskirt? Maybe not then?

As for, "if you really want to watch City" you are on the wrong soapbox for that. Or is it a complete whoosh to you that you have just posted your rousing speech to an audience of what I would call die hard City fans? And that is not an invite to start that go/stay away debate, it has been done to death, and neither side is budging.

Sorry but I am not as worldly as you, and try to keep post about City somewhat parochial. Then again, a full list of all football league clubs with similar membership schemes that are now coming back into the post-lockdown real world would be an excellent aid to compare ours against. I thank you in advance for your tremendous efforts in securing and posting this information.
