Agree Howden. Mid November at the latest though. I am not convinced the 'key injuries' are going to make all the difference but time will tell. It's ok being well liked by the squad but I would prefer well respected with a hint of fear if I don't do my job well enough.
Nobody on here is naive enough to believe a change will be made whilst the current ownership are in place so I’m surprised you use November as a cut off point. If we are sold he’ll be gone within days.
That's it. Under Ehab, he's pretty much got life tenure. A new owner will want their own man in the door.
And I bet the players do like (very very very) much as Howden says as they clearly do what the **** they want without direction. I’ve had bosses like that I loved them to bits but on reflection they where ****ing useless.
I do wonder if that plays a part in the dressing room dynamic. McCann went straight from being a player to a manager, after all. I don't deny he has a good relationship with the players but does he see himself as 'one of the lads' or someone who needs to dish out a stern bollocking to the young 'uns when necessary? Likable and respected are two completely different things.
Having never called anyone or to my knowledge been called one, what the **** is a poodle. Can anyone define poodle meant in the way it is on here in simple terms.
Thanks Kemp, so basically it's a term that no one would have the bollocks to call them to their faces.
It means you yap loudest in support of the manager when we're doing well, you whinge loudest when it swings the other way. No steady middle ground.
Out. I hoped he and Byrne had learnt and developed from the season before last"s debacle, and from another year as a manager and assistant last season. Unfortunately I just don't see any evidence of learning and development. As others have said, I have no confidence in them and they are frustrating the hell out of me with their approach. My vote is out, right away. Unless there's an unexpected turnaround, the club surely can't afford to leave it later than November.
