There was SOME talent, skill and heart in that team. I’m sat here thinking… Wicks - brilliant; Dawes - wow; Gregory - terrific; Stainrod - yess; Allen - awesome … it just goes on and on. What a team. What a year! Never to be forgotten by all who could witness any of it.
Went to the 5 3 game with a load of Everton season ticket holders They didn't even mind when I cheered in their end
Marc Bircham sacked as Waterford United Manager just 3 days ahead of their Relegation/promotion play off game against U.C.D. https://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2021/1123/1262577-waterford-sack-manager-bircham-ahead-of-play-off/
They've been a bit of a basket-case for years. They were owned by the bloke who f*cked up Swindon but this seems insane even by previous standards. From where they were when Bircham started it seems to be a kick in the teeth for him...
Wifey and Jnr saw them on Monday night (I was away working ) - somehow think throwing QPR scarves about in Glasgow might cause a few problems
I don't much about him, but the level he's playing at at the moment is pretty poor - would be well below Conference level down there. Must have something about him though, if he's attracting attention
Hopefully our scouts have spotted something in him worth nurturing. While at a much lower level he is in good goalscoring form with 7 goals in last 7 appearances I think I heard !
Oh dear, we can't afford any centre back injuries or suspensions over the busy upcoming period. A decent enough player but Jesus he's been injured alot in his short time with us. A real sicknote I'm afraid. Another centre half required as back up.
We should get Masterson back in Jan but yeah we’ve been fortunate that Barbet and Dickie have played every minute.
Listened to the latest QPR Podcast this morning and Jimmy Dunne was the guest. Thoroughly impressed by him. Very passionate talking about his love of clean sheets but also on working to improve his distribution as Barbet and Dickie have done. Loved hearing him talk about how he likes to walk to the stadium on match days with no headphones so he can soak up the atmosphere and appreciate the magnitude of a game. Seems like a smart bloke and loves his football. Worth a listen.
