I seem to remember some Liverpool fans being unhappy with him although I think it’d be crazy for him to leave . Fantastic player!
You know Sfc haven't progressed very well when our transfer window gags are older than some of our fans.
Has it? Last year on this board everyone was raving about how we strengthened in most departments giving us a better squad.
He done ok but let's remember he's our only left back specialist being kept out by a ****ing right back!
Yes, Because KWP has been our best player all season by a mile.. It's nothing to do with Perraud not being great.. KWP has just been amazing.
Also, the inverted wingback thing is going to becoming more and more popular in general, Being left-footed and kept out of the lineup by a right-footer at LB would have been a massive indictment not long ago, but in a couple years on current trends it won't even merit a blink of an eye. Especially with a manager that likes to play fairly narrowly, as Ralph does.
But there was actually no depth at full back. We just converted our best player to play in 2 positions
I don’t understand why any player getting regular game time would want to leave Liverpool at the moment. They’re one of, if not the best team around, they play exciting attacking football in the biggest league and competing for all trophies available. It doesn’t get any better. Mane would be a huge miss for Liverpool if he for some reason leaves.
It might simply be for the experience. One of the unique elements of football is that every league has its own culture, and Mane wouldn't be the first player that enjoyed a bit of professional tourism. Also, no idea if it plays a role, but Bayern also happens to have (in a very part time role) Bouna Sarr, a Senegal teammate of Mane's, but also a teammate at Metz when both were breaking into professional football. Potentially the sort of player that could sell you on a new adventure.
I think the general feeling was that we increased depth and cover in most areas but with the departure of Ings there was some concern about where goals were coming from. The season was pretty much a reflection of this, with the additional surprise of a porous defence. I think it’s been a while since we’ve signed any exciting players.
I am not sure it was such a good transfer window. Perraud looks a solid acquisition, Tina was very good until the Villa home game and went slowly downhill thereafter. Broja a loanee went off the boil after February and AA, well, enough written about him by others. So no, l would not say it was a good transfer window. Not saying it was rubbish, but no, not good. Edit: of course none of this was Ralph's fault, nor was it his fault for the coaching staff!
