Call Me Jack 3.30 Donc Has a nice pedigree and is being very well supported. 365 are best at 33/1 but my eye is drawn to 24/1 for 7 places!
Doncaster 13.50 Bold Endeavour looks all the rage and is odds on. What interests me is Famous Bridge. Something amiss when pulled up quickly last April. Before that, in March, had won a Class 2 handicap hurdle at Kelso earning a Timeform quote "he's one to keep on the right side as he inevitably climbs the ranks, whilst it almost goes without saying he'll be at least as good over fences next season.". Back in Nov 21 he also received the TF comment " though it's as a chaser that he'll really flourish" Famous Bridge's TF hurdle rating after that last victory was 128+ which adjusted for tomorrow would put him in on 149+ if it was a hurdle race Bold Endeavour has an adjusted TF rating of 151p. If Famous Bridge is expected to be better over fences, and is ready to go, that would put him in with a very good chance of beating the favourite Maybe one to watch in the betting
Go for the one that has webbed feet! Can’t see there being much good in the going description by late afternoon
Cor blimey that pedigree brings back memories and would certainly agree re it being nice. Call Me Jacks' dam (Gaspara) got the Imperial Cup / Cheltenham Festival bonus up back in '07.
Eminent poet should relish conditions today. Can’t believe he a novice at 12. His chasing career has been underwhelming this far. In a four horse race he is the value on the understanding his jumping issues are resolved.
There’s a couple of Mahlers in the 2.10 . This trip looks more suitable, of the two I’d give sharp note a go.
The weekend entries are out and the Pertemps qualifier at Warwick has attracted 20, with exactly half of those being trained in Ireland. Seven of those 10 Irish entries are from Gordon Elliott.
OMG. Was just about to applaud, heard the commentator change of voice, looked up just in time to see him being run down on the post. Looked all over the winner after jumping the last and appearing to go away. Missed the last 100 yards as I thought it was all over and "jumped" on the laptop. Did he go into reverse?
Well there was no money for him and just wasn't anywhere near good enough. I wonder if he was 100% ready
