I think Bowyer would be a good fit there. He's arguably the best manager we've had since Curbs, though personally I rate SCP equally (albeit circumstances were different). Good luck to him.
Does Gareth Bale deserve a statue? Sorry, but I think not. I know George Best got a couple of statues, and an airport named after him. Maybe Gareth could have a bust and a golf course
I switched on the FA Cup replay yesterday evening and my ears were assaulted by a dreadful sound... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-64310338 It was Gary Lineker Also though there were some odd background noises. Sounded like one of those mobile ringtones that the person who downloads it thinks is ever so amusing, but all their mates think they're a prat every time it sounds. According to the BBC article it was "sex noises" Didn't sound like sex noises to me, unless it was Sandra Dickinson on helium. Sounded more like a baby wailing.
Harry Kane has equaled Greavsie's goal scoring record at Spurs He's a bit further behind on trophies though... Greavsie: 2 FA Cups 1 Cup Winner's Cup Kane: Nowt
There seems to be quite a lot of negative feeling in the footy world about Chelsea spending £600,000,000 in the last two transfer windows. I must admit I'm a bit surprised (in a good way) that anybody cares anymore.
Stone Cold Sean Dyche wins his opening game for Everton against the league leaders Everton fans protested about ownership outside the ground, before the game. Then they supported the team in the ground.
From what little I've gathered the FFP rules are a joke. Your spending/income can be averaged out over around 3 or 4 seasons. In effect that means nobody knows if you've broken the rules until that much time has passed. By which time you've bought trophies and cheated other Clubs out of their rightful league places. You'd have to be Dr Who to enforce them properly. Here's the BBC news article on City's breaches of the rules... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64536785 Sounds like they should be getting more than a slap on the wrist. Maybe they'll quit the Prem and join the European Superleague.
I was listening to Talk Sport earlier this morning, they had a bloke on there to talk about possible punishments from the Premier League against Man City. He didn't say anything new, but when the interview was over he was acknowledged as a certain Chis Farnell, and described as a "prominent Sports Lawyer". Prominent Sports Lawyer? Prominent Scumbag more like I kid you not.
