Cashin is surely unlikely. He's under contract until 2027, just got promoted with, and let's be honest, a bigger club in the traditional sense, who seem to be getting their act together. At the very least he would cost a lot to prise away.
I'm sure they'll have an algorithm. And that valuation would be a rational starting point. But ultimately it's going to be subjective, based on whether the selling club wants to trade and how much a club is willing to pay. Player power will come into it too though, as it did with the Omur deal. We weren't the highest bidder there, but the player refused to sign for anyone else.
He’s got to be the least likely of the three. Delap’s got to be No.1 target for me, we look so much better when he’s on the pitch.
See Jaden beats a man gets near the byelibe tries to beat another in the first half and gets stopped instead of crossing it . At the other end their guy does do it they score , yes I know Morton missed it but Jaden has to be more football savvie .
You are probably right, just feel he is the kind of player you can build a team around. I would like to have Delap back, I hope he becomes striker we are in need off just hope with the loan players and the few players we may sell we don’t have to build a new team again!
Lovin' the optimism. He won't be in it cos we'll be winning next week with WBA losing,, then us smashing the play offs and signing him permanently as a PL club. But, what if we do that, then loan him to Fleetwood to develop? Ah, but then you'd be right again I suppose.
I feel like next season we are in trouble unless we can loan carvalho and delap again. They are huge for the team
I think of the players I expect not to be here next season, Delap will be the hardest to replace. A strong, pacey striker who chips in with a fair share of goals doesn’t come cheap.
I always liked him and wanted to see more of what he could do. Sure, his first touch needs to improve but some people wrote him off immediately as the next Forss based on a short cameo in his first game. Same people who did also cry whenever someone criticises Allsop lmao.
Great game and great atmosphere tonight. Ipswich showed why they are where they are, great shape, the hold up play from their strikers is excellent and something we could do with. Even still we gave them a tough game and got a result. We will see if the last day throws up a surprise but looking forward to next season regardless. Oops wrong thread
Yeah, I think you’re looking north of £6 million for Derby to even consider it. Like GE said, replacing Philogene is easier than replacing a quality left-footed centre-half with a high ceiling to develop. The options are really limited at this level to Cashin, who has recently signed a new contract and has now achieved promotion to the Championship for next season, and Clarke-Salter who has had a good season for QPR and is one of the key players they’ll want to keep to build the team around under Cifuentes for next season. Other than them, you’re looking at options abroad.
God knows how you must have felt last summer then, before we'd signed either of them. Hopefully one or two will re - sign. But they've built a team this year, why not next?
