Too many players know they are on the way out and don't respect themselves or the fans to try. The sooner they (and not the manager) are gone, the better
Replacing the manager is by far the cheaper option and has therefore been Levy's preference for 5 years.
But then more fool the manager for selecting them. There’s an excellent youth team that’s top of the league that has a bunch of players who’d die for a chance and give their all.
With the exception of Vicario, Porro, Udogie, VDV and possibly Romero, I couldn’t care less if we sell any of the others. Which is mental considering I’ve just named a load of defensive players and we’re leaking goals galore. But I genuinely feel all of this stems from problems that are forced up on them, rather than their inability.
Putting in youth players on mass who aren't ready could well destroy their confidence...or he doesn't see them being able to play his high pressing game?
How do we know they’re not ready? Why is it other clubs are easily incorporating youth yet the team sitting top of the league at u23 level aren’t getting a sniff. If he doesn’t think they’re ready for his system yet some of the dross he’s picking is, then it’s another cause for concern.
