Very surprised. Thought Bernstein would only give him a slap on the wrist. To be honest though, I can't say that I'm too disappointed. Almost certainly I'd expect there to be an Englishman appointed. With the Redknapp verdict earlier today, it makes tie easier for the FA to go down that route and he is the outstanding candidate and probably the only Englishman who I would be truly delighted to get. Realistically, I'm not sure that Redknapp would leave Spurs full time until the end of the season so I would guess that either Haryy does both until the summer and then becomes full time England manager or someone like Stuart Pearce is named interim manager for the Euro's and then we get a permanent manager (probably Redknapp) after that. Mourinho is leaving Madrid in the summer and Hiddink has also said he's interested. Wouldn't mind them but I think the FA will go English.
Pearce will be interim manager until the Premier League season has finished. Redknapp will leave Spurs in the top 4 and in the best position they have been in a long time. Redknapp will take over as England manager for a month before the Euros and will manage England during that campaign and for many a year after it. Mourinho will become Spurs manager. Hiddink will become Madrid manager. Where is the nearest bookies?
I think Rednapp can do both England and Spurs certainly through the Euros and I think that's what will happen, we shall see as I can't see him leaving spurs before the season ends but I can't see him turning down England. Sigh, never simple is it, England the soap opera of international football!
Doubt Hiddink would go back to Madrid after last time. Here's what I reckon: Redknapp sees out the season with Spurs and gets top four. He then becomes England manager after the Euros. Pearce will be interim manager from now until the end of the Euros. Mourinho becomes Man City manager. Joachim Low is Real Madrid manager. David Moyes becomes Spurs boss. Someone like Paul Lambert gets the Everton job. Capello goes to Italy or somewhere like Anzhi or the Middle/Far East.
I'm sure that as a 'man of principle' Fabio will forego having the remainder of his contract paid up! ... watch this space for the 'constructive dismissal' law suit ... although what the FA have done does border on farce ... I'm just awaiting the caretaker appointmet of Avram Grant ... or Peter Taylor!!!!!!!
@SkySportsMobile 08/02/2012 22:26 Roy #Keane on #Rooney backing #Redknapp: "Wayne should keep his nose out of it, he didn't do enough on the pitch when #Capello was manager." Too true
Harborough Fox mentioned monkeys, which I've heard used as a racist epithet for negroid people. The suppressed racism of Leicester fans just keeps coming out.
I think quite a few players should follow Capello out Ashley Cole, John Terry, Frank Lampard, Rio Ferdinand all should go aswell
Why, because they are darker skinned? This is just ridiculous how racist this festa board actually is
If it had happened a few month earlier when this whole racism allegation thing started, I would have said Martin O'Neil for England
