Wild 6.8/10 not bad worth a watch but nothing special. Also watched Tyranosaur again, great film. 8.2/10
Mortdecai. Very disappointed. Depp was excellent but other than a few funny moments, the film was poor. 5/10
The Zero Theorum: I only watched this because Christoph Waltz was the star and it was directed by Terry Gilliam, sounds is if it could have been good, it wasn't. From the opening scenes I got clues as to how poor this was going to be but I ignored them and pushed on. It was trying hard and failing to look like the dystopian future which was painted so well in Blade Runner and the high camp look of The Fifth Element, but still I persevered. This never at any time had me gripped, I only watched until the bitter end in the faint hope that something worthwhile would come out of it, nothing appeared, the film ended with me none the wiser as to what was going on exactly. I think it was some clever end which I did not understand, to be honest I don't actually care, which is the most damning indictment. One to avoid 2/10
Interstellar 7/10 overhyped but worth a watch. The Imitation Game 7.8/10 Great stuff. John Wick 4.5/10 Utter ****e!
She 8/10 Weird as ****, but an interesting concept well executed. Phoenix is good, as usual. Dallas Buyer's Club 8.5/10 Cracking film, with some excellent turns by the big names. Locke 7/10 Kept thinking something would happen, but it didn't Great performance by Hardy though. The Place Beyond the Pines 7/10 Entertaining enough but drags on a bit.
That was a strange film, I enjoyed it even though nothing happens, just one long phone call in a car.
Transcendence: One of these days Johnny Depp may actually make a decent movie, this is'nt it. Dull and very long winded, it has ideas above it's station, it's intended to be thought provoking but it just left me thinking meh. 4/10
Gone Girl, I didn't know much about this film beforehand, so didn't know what to expect. But I ended up enjoying all of it. 10/10 from me.
Dune: The definitive Fanedit Cut One of my favourite movies re-edited and re-sequenced with numerous deleted scenes added. Still has the feel of the original David Lynch cut but much easier to follow if you have not read the books(s). 3 hours long but still a masterpiece imho.
A mate gave it to me but I guess you could find a download somewhere, if not, PM me your details and i'l stick it on a blank DVD and send you it.
