Pardew simply cannot cut it at a big club (Toon despite their calamities are still a big club) He is an average manager, mid table is about his level.

Pardew seems to have a pattern at most of his clubs, good first season or so, followed by a massive decline.

But most incompetent in PL history ? <yikes>

I could probably name 3 worse just from ex Saints managers <laugh>

Aye, think then it will be too late.
My hunch is based on Hull and Boro both having decent starts to the season, Pardew being terrible and Swansea and Sunderland looking lacklustre (Almost seems like Moyes is resigned to his fate already).

Teams that will likely struggle imo

    Bournemouth
    Burnley
    Sunderland
    Watford
    Palace
    Swansea

Will be 3 of those 6 I think, but I will go with Sunderland, Palace and Swansea.

Maybe I will do another relegation thread

    Yeah he was pretty dire.
Souness though, I used to wonder how he kept finding work.

Bournemouth and Sunderland I can see maybe struggling, but Boro?
They have bought really wisely this summer, and got in some great players, and have started really well.

Anyway, I dont want to hijack PISKIE's transfer thread, relegation talk can be had here:

... indeed ... survival in the Prem is about goals and both of them looked very lacking ...

... one reason I think the Swans will probably be alright is that they do have an attacking threat - Llorente, Barrow, Montero and Routledge plus Fer and, in particular, Sigurdson in their midfield who are both capable of contributing on that front ...they have also just broken their transfer record on another striker ...

I'm not convinced by Swansea's manager and they'll miss Williams, but I think that they should be ok.
Whether there'll be someone else leading them at the end of the season might be a different story, though.

I think that Boro should be ok too, despite looking a bit toothless against West Brom.
Pulis has set them up to spoil and they're good at turning games into boring, turgid time sinks.

We had the directional skills of Columbus emarking for the far East and landing in Cuba.

Improved areas we were already ok at and completely ignored massive gaping holes in our club.
