Mornin', chaps. I think it's fair to say that was very painful to watch at the best of times. Nevertheless, another victory in the bag - the last thing we needed was another replay! Bad news about Samir, though. May he have a swift return to action. Hope he makes it back for the 1st leg of the Barcelona game, but I won't be putting my mortgage on it! But as long as we have Francesc, Robin, Alex, Jack and Marouane fit for that game, I think we can still give them a good game. Well done to Huddersfield for masterfully demonstrating what team spirit stands for, a hats-off, gutsy performance by them, albeit not enough. Good luck you guys! Now, where are my Rich Tea biscuits..
We got the result which was all that really mattered. It's just a shame that Nasri had to get injured. I have no biscuits im afraid
I guess that means we'll be signing no one. Not too bothered. A defender would have been nice but hey ho!
And forgot to mention that we did well with the fifth round draw as well! I think Leyton will give as good as they get. It's alright, I found some manky chocolate chip cookies in the staff kitchen. They were rancid, but they were free, so I won't complain.
I'm not fussed either, to be honest. A loan signing 'til the end of the season could've boded well in terms of defensive cover, but doubt that'll be happening. Hopefully our current lads can do the job for us.
Would have liked a centre back, but it ain't gonna happen. Hope at the end of the season we don't look back at not signing a defender in the widow and regret it.
I can see why Wenger has stayed out of the market. ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã20m+ for an average defender in Gary Cahill. ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã30m+ for an average striker in Andy Carrol... Spuds placing a ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã30m+ bid for the Spanish Peter Crouch - Fernando Llorente
It's always fun though to have the excitement of the last day of transfers if Arsenal are involved somehow
Still, hearing that the tiny totts have been throwing ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã30 mill+ around in a desperate attempt for a striker makes me smile. Especially after Gary Mabbut reckons have the strikeforce to challenge for the title
