    So if you were Adkins who would you play on the right wing?

    De Ridder - Good movement and great touches , BUT doesn't track back and until he learns that he will leave big gaps for other teams to exploit.

    Guly - Always looks out of sorts on the wing, not his best position. Does provide short moments of genius but not consistent enough.

    Holmes - When fit looks dangerous on the win , has a good amount of pace and has a dangerous left foot. However the big question is if he is fit.

    Personally i would give Holmes a go. Hasn't has the best time at Saints, looks a good player and until De Ridder can defend i think Holmes is the man to play on the opposite wing to Lallana.

    I too would give Holmes a go, Guly looks lost out on the wing and De Ridder isn't ready for regualr champ. football yet

    Why not make it open to Barnsley as well, like the Leeds thread. That was a laugh!

    It's a tough one but I think Saints will extend their 8 match winning run. 1-2 for me.

    Barnsley are a team who always manage to surprise you, i reckon a point will be a good result 1-1

    I quite like Holmes, but he's too left-footed and will be so predictable on the right wing. What makes Lallana so effective on the left is he is strong on either foot, so can come in side or out. I'd go with De Ridder - a natural right winger. I think if you play Richardson rather butterfield behind him that would work out well

    I agree, it all depends on who is at RB. By the looks of it, Frazer Richardson is 1st choice which means the pressure is slightly taken off De Ridder having to track back. He still needs to learn to defend, but De Ridder is a better right winger than Holmes.

    A point away is always considered a reasonable result, but, all things considered, I think we will continue our winning run to 9 games. I shall go for 0-2.

    I think the Adkins will play a diamond formation which can easily change to a 4-3-1-2 formation.

    ===================Davis===================

    ==Richardson=====Fonte=======Jaidi======Harding===

    =================Hammond==================

    =====Chaplow=====================Cork=======

    ==================Lallana===================

    ===========Lambert=======Connolly=============

    Adkins mentioned in his interview after the game that he tried it in the last 20mins against Torquay and we scored two good team goals.

    Anyone else think that Jaidi will be playing on saturday?

    Barnsley 0-1 Saints - Cork will a header from a corner in the first half. Barnsley putting the pressure on Saints the last 20mins but we hold out for a good win.

    Heart - Nervy 2-1 win with goals form De Ridder and Lallana

    Head - Tense 0-0 draw

    Either way, I think we're in for an uncomfortable Saturday :/ COYR!

    A point would be a decent result, but would be brilliant if we could grab a little win. The confidence, fitness and spirit of the squad will hopefully pull us through with a 90th minute winner!
