With the Enrique deal done and dusted, you cant help but say good riddance to a player that developed so well at this club.

I say this becasue of the way he engineered a move away from the club. Now if liverpool as we know came in and he didnt make a song or dance we would have wished him well.

But the combination of twitter and media outbursts hes put himself in the booing category.

Unlike Nolan who will always get a rapturous applause if he returns, sadly Enrique made his own bed.

Ah well another few quid in the bank that wont be spent, lets hope for Pieters, and I hope enrique warms the bench, look what happened to Beye!

HE won't be a bench warmer, that's for sure. At this point in time, I find it hard to really be that annoyed by any player who leaves, I mean would you want to work under Ashley and Pardew cause I ****ing wouldn't.

Couldn't agree less. Not good riddance at all for me. Real shame we as club have been unable to keep pace with his progress but thats financial problems and an owner who needs a club in better shape for a sale. Great professional and more than happy to forgive the Twitter outburst, that was very minor and out of frustration. Everybody to their own, and if you and others want to boo him then so be it but I think its a bit of a disgrace being honest. He has given great service, stuck with us when we were at our lowest ebb and put the effort in whenever on the pitch. You only need to look at the friendly last week. Knew he was leaving but still the best player on the pitch. Couple of bad games last back end which people now talk of as "his heart not being with us". Don't agree with that either, he had about 2 bad games in a whole season, most players do (and most a lot more) Its a real shame we don't seem to know how to appreciate when a player has been good for us anymore. If you leave you're booed, its comical really. What do people expect? Him to stick around and waste another 5 years of his career? Pathetic to be honest, we're not good enough to keep him, that is the bottom line.

The smiling from Pardew made him leave I reckon.

Nothing to do with CL football or getting into the window for the Spain national team. They were just excuses.

Lol well obviously he had those in mind, but also clearly had a problem with the men in charge and I don't really blame him, just wish he hadn't left for Liverpool of all people.

Anyone think some of these players may pick up injuries as they fall over themselves to leave the club?

FFS get over it. He has indeed joined one of the biggest clubs in England, much bigger than ourselves and much more ambitious. Why are people having so much trouble accepting that he has moved to a bigger club? The bitterness towards a cracking servant is poor. We'll never attract more players with this kind of attitude. They'll look and think "you give great service, stick with them through thick and thin, yet they still hate you after you're gone regardless what you do for them" Just makes us look fickle.

To me, that just seems like a lot of little digs at Newcastle United. He also didn't have one nice word to say about us.

He won't be getting any respect from me.

No mate, he doesn't need to rub our faces in it, that we aren't a big club anymore. All he had to say was he was pleased to be at Liverpool and thanks to Newcastle. He was no-one before he came here. He was absolutely cack in his first season at least. I couldn't give a **** that he has gone to Liverpool, or anyone else he would fancy going to, just show some respect!!

This. Also im sick of the argument that we should like him as he stuck with us during relegation season. What a load of bollocks. The reason he did that was because no one wanted him after a **** first season. If a club came in for him he would of went running! This transfer has showed he is tosser after leaving us thread bear 2 days before the season. He doesn't give a toss about us and I feel sorry for anyone who feels otherwise...

dont agree with you at all. Enrique deal was supposedly done months ago! He saw what Carroll had done to us and didnt want to do that to us so thought, "If i want to move, I will make sure Newcastle have plenty of time to find my replacement." everyone knew this deal was going to happen well before the end of the season. Its our boards fault for leaving it this long, just so they could play the "we tried to keep him" card, instead of letting Enrique go on the first day of transfer window which im sure he would have been happy to do.

If in doubt, blame the board, not the player. No player wishes us any badness after having 52,000 fans screaming their name. Nobody could have any hard feelings after that. Even Cabaye has seen that already with the 6,000 fans at a friendly, he said he was astonished as friendlies in france get about 200 fans!

So you joinn a big club but you're not allowed to say so in case you upset the fans of your former club? Sorry but that's just a crock of ****. Seriously if you are getting upset at his words which were just standard in football, you might as well not bother with football. What does every player who joins a big club say? "I'm so happy to be at such a big club" You're way too over sensitive. He owes us **** all.

Just wait till Cabaye outgrows in 2 or 3 years. He'll be scum too for wanting to further his career. I think some of our fans have a heightened opinion of our current standing in the game. We're not even a top 8 club, we're a feeder club for the big guns like the rest of the division below the top 6-8.

I think some people need to grow up a bit.

Face facts. Enrique is joining a bigger club, both in relation to tradition (at least since the Vietnam War) recent trophies, and the ambition shown/funding provided by their owners. He will be probably be playing in europe in a year's time, whereas such things can only be hoped for at NUFC.

Also, I see that Erik Pieters has demanded a move from PSV, presumably so that he can join us, as JE's replacement. Does that make him a "tosser" too, or does that only apply to those who leave us?

Is it really too much to show some respect to NUFC and fans? If you really think Newcastle fans should just go "shrug, said we're ****, never mind" you're way too daft. And of course he owes us, we paid him handsomely for being absolutely ****e and then improving him as a player.
