So many may be worried early that we haven't got a win yet but I say patience!

    Burnley away = good point.

Today was a good performance! We made chances and the fact that the Derby keeper was man of the match says something.

From what I heard on Watford Player, Forsythe and Yeates were great out wide we just lacked that killer touch. Something I hope we will get or buy in. Adam le Fondre scored 2 today - so would be great if we could get him in!

There are some positives - we seemed to play good football. The win will come and I believe that the football we have played this season already will bring results.

    COYH!!!!

Strange game, but didn't deserve to lose. Liked Yeates, not sure about Forsythe but Big Chris was poor. Did'nt win a header all game. Deeny won first three headers. Marvin played well, Derby were very poor...until they scored. Bit fed up but not distraught. We need a win though!!!

I think you're right hamps, the win will come if we continue to play like that. Hopefully on Tuesday! Forsythe got off to a slow start but he soon picked up. He just needs to make some more runs down the wing, sometimes he doesn't give anyone options by being a bit static. I take a lot of positives from this game though, despite the loss.

Disappointed with Iwelumo, chuffed to have him in the team but he didn't use his strength/size that much at all.

Better team - more of the ball, nothing in their third. Iwelumo was poor. But still 3/4new players yet to gel so keep the prozac in the cupboeard for a bit.........

We were very unlucky to come away with nothing. I can only remember one chance Derby had, mind you it was a fantastic finish,Scott had no chance.
Marvin had a very good game and he actually done a lot of running and got back to help the defence. Thought all the new lads played well, just need more time to bed in....roll on Tuesday

Why do some people think Adam Le Fondre is the answer to all of our problems? As far as I can see he is still plying his trade in the 4th division. Why would you want to replace Marvin Sordell with him at a huge cost and risk? If Dyche is looking for another forward it has to be someone with more ability than ALF.

As for today Derby came for the niggle today and stole the 3 points IMO. Goals change games, and that goal killed us. I was however getting a little nervous as the minutes ticked by and particularly as the 1st half came to a close. Let's face it Derby's gameplan is the old fashioned "contain and destroy", they wanted to disrupt us and then hit us on the break and manage the game. I don't doubt their supporters will be "cock a hoop" as they return up the motorway.

Give large credit to the ref (except for that late intervention), he clocked their timewasting early, had numerous words with Fielding, and added on 3 minutes at the end of the first half. In the second half Darren Deadman had already stopped Fielding from "swapping the place kick" i.e. when the ball is on the left the keeper takes the kick from the right and vice-versa. The ref added 5 mins on at the end (the only thing I won all game) and got the bookings pretty much right.

I think the positives are that we know that if we start well and score first then the game is ours, but if not ......

West Ham on Tuesday will be more like a war - they will contest everything, all throw ins and will be chatting to the ref for 90+ mins. Dean Whitestone will be busy, but I remember him for a fine afternoon in March when Sheffield Utd lost 2 players and lost by 3 goals!!!!!!!!

As people have said, a very funny game.

Derby were very poor going forward, they didn't create much and for the first half (and probably most of the 2nd too) Watford were by far the better team. Derby did defend quite well, however, wich is one reason they won. We had a very good first half - totally dominant. But simply, we didn't score goals.

In terms of players, like many others I was slightly disappointed with Iwelumo, he should have won more headers. Yeates looked good, so did Forsyth (I thought he was one of our best today, but nobody seems to agree with me!). Dickinson was very impressive, Sordell was our best player and Eustace was very good too.

If we play like that on Tuesday but finish a couple of the clear cut chances we could get a result. It was 'one of those days', another time we may have been 3-0 up at half time.

My main worry was how heads seemed to drop after Derby scored..we saw that a lot last season.

The last thing we want is for players to quickly lose confidence because then the fans will.

Just need another striker I feel as there is little point in having a big target man who cannot win headers.

Sordell was excellent and Yeates impressed me.

Back line was solid but then Derby hardly tested us.

WE didn't deserve to lose..but did (even the Derby guys and manager admit they were lucky..)

Maybe we'll have some in the next 2 games.

For 55 minutes we looked well organised if not over threatening. Derby looked second best in most areas except central defence where they were strong. Our response to a shock goal was disappointing though. There was a lot of time left but we didn't seem able to raise our game. I agree Iwelumo was poor - in no position to use his height most of the time. Yeates and Forsyth had a few good moments early on but didn't make an impact when it mattered. It was good to see a left back with a left foot! Personally I still have my doubts about Eustace and Jenkins as a midfield pairing. They often appeared close together, almost looking for the same tackle, and neither has much speed to get themselves clear of the midfield crowd. They give a strong line in front of defence but I think our creativity will suffer and we might struggle for goals. Sordell was the pick for me yesterday...worked hard, showed quick feet under pressure and fed wide players well - a shame he wasn't better supported by Iwelumo.

The Jenkins + Eustace pairing has often been talked about as not really working. The two are very similar and it might be fine if we are going away from home and want to break up play, but where is the speedy mid-fielder who can launch a fast attack when the ball has been won?
