Job done and hopefully a massive confidence booster. We not fancying scruffy 1-0/2-0 wins this season?
Did not see that coming , enjoyed it all but the 3 second half goals were a joy to watch , not going to get carried away like after Bolton , but gives a glimmer of hope that the season might not be a waste of time
Clark proved a lot of people, me included, wrong today. Birmingham were limited but he looked assured and strong in defence and in control going forward.
To quote the BBC: "Hull meanwhile are the league's top scorers with 22 goals despite sitting just 17th in the table on 12 points." Just need a defense then..... I know it's not quite that simple but it would be a good start to improving things. I'm for one not getting carried away by today.
Apparently during Meyler's interview with Burnsy, Lee Carsley walked past and said City were lucky. Yeah, just the 6 goals, but we were lucky.
One league win in six. Excellent today but let's not get carried away. Shame you waited till we won to post that so sorry I can't take you seriously.
I read the thread after the match, not sure whose carried away either but 6-1 isn't a reason to be miserable mate
I am certainly not miserable but having watched the previous five games live I had a right to be very concerned.
Fill yer boots, BlackandAmberGambler and Kemps, belated birthday pressie, great confidence booster & welcome 3 points! The difference, we turned up first half, got at them from the off, and when Aina went awol, Meyler filled in the gap at rb, mind, Brum were ****e, or we made them look ****e! Pleased for Slutsky although doesn't make a huge table difference. A nice change, chill and enjoy a nice bottle of vino!
I don't know if City were good and blew Birmingham away, or they were totally abject. I suppose it was a bit of both. But at last City put a side to the sword instead of taking the foot off the gas. But bloody conceding that stupid goal at the death was a downer.... Whoever comes in there has got a massive job on. That's places 23rd (Birmingham) and 24th (Bolton) filled. Just need Burton to continue their downward fall and we're safe!!
I went to today’s game & to say I’m not ecstatic might seem a bit daft, but I had Campbell as first scorer & 3-0 at 60-1, so I wasn’t impressed when it went 4-0, even though I thought we’d get 5 or 6 after going 3 up so early on. Couldn’t get online to make further bets, good job really as I wouldn’t have had them scoring at all. Brilliant performance & it’s hard to see how we’ve been struggling in other games when that happens. Now another bloody international break & we’ll have to see how we do when we come back. I thought Toral looked good & was annoyed when Hendricksen came on, but even he looked good in his position. So hopefully plenty of positives to come in the coming games.
