We haven't 'struggled' per se. I've seen most our games and not once thought we were abject, the problem has been, for want of a better way of putting it, defensive errors. That implies that we actually have a defence and errors is being too kind. But aside from the mess at the back I think we've always looked like we can score a goal and been able to play a bit which is a good sign IMO. Its not as doomy and gloomy as it was under Bruce, we do look like we can compete if we can build a defence in January. Probably too late for this season but we have looked far worse in recent times with far better players.
Haven't been since February ... though got a freebie today* - can't see what you lot have been fretting about ... Enjoyed today - like the old days of BP (7-1 against ... Crewe?) Away fans pointing & 'threatening a lot ... Nowadays however everybody just films it - this trend started by plod I believe Defence looks weak, Birmingham's only threat Vassell showed that too often ( * Askew is in respite care, bless him he thinks he on holiday , his carers needed the rest)
Haven't see that many 6 goal wins even over 50 years. ****ing ace whenever we do and don't care which league we are in or team we beat it's magic. What a set of scummy bastards their fans were. Jeff Lynne excepted.
Anyone recall the last time we went ages without an away win...? Where did we break the duck...? Norwich with a 2-0 win...Koren and TC.. Next away game? NORWICH...!!!!!! Cue music from the Twilight Zone....
funny how and aged steward and a little net stopped them in their tracks - maybe we should that tactic in Afghanistan to stop insurgents
Jus' wondering when was the last time we had six different goalscorers in the same game. Not wondering enough to be arsed to look it up. But jus' wondering.
Off topic Else where a last gasp Equalised deep into injury time sent Scarborough Athletics fans wild....All 1,120. Scarborough earn a well deserved replay against Stratford Town in the fa cup 3rd qualifying round 2-2 South Shields beat York City in front of 2,800 fans which is a huge crowd for an evo stik north team Most clubs get about 200 at home games My Niece tells me it was great at City today as well. Old fat bloke went on pitch near end and tried to thump the ref at scarborough Bloody hooligans
The goals for column has never been an issue. We're around the top scorers in this division and have been from game one. The issue is when the defence is so porous you're having to score 3-4 for a chance of any points.
Extra special off topic moment of the day. I was sat next to luke Campbell for a bit. Looked like he was seat jumping as well. His eye looks nasty up close. Surprisingly soft hands for a champ boxer. Top lad.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/7285121.stm another 5 - also started with FC scoring after 7 minutes
No danger of the Birmingham lot getting too out of hand , we had an army of pikies waiting outside as back up
