Yes, none of us can argue with the hard facts of lap times, however, I will argue with what you've concluded from them. Surely, simple logic for Alonso, would be that absolutely crushing di Resta's confidence would make him less of a threat in the season to come, so Alonso doesn't spend much time stuck behind him. So your suggesting, that because Alonso was kind and helped di Resta, that actually he's not really committed to winning the WDC? Do you not think alonso wants to win? Also, the reason for slowly is to try and hide performance. If he's slowng on the main straights, does that mean that the F150 has an excellent top speed advantage? Or, does the engine sound diferent at very high revs (as you would get on the straights) and alert the other teams to the fact Ferrari have done something different?
Firstly, thank you for arguing my point in a sensible way - because now you have proved my argument to be false. The article was more a crazy interpretation - I was a bit dissapointed because we learnt nothing from the test, so I was bored and wrote this. I didn't think it would wind up anyone.

Lorca, I understand you may have been bored with the testing, yes we never really learn a great deal from it. But why come on here and post tripe like that?
