Tuesday's games will clarify things a lot ...... or muddy the waters even more..... the show's not over till the fat lady sings Simples!
Amos outstanding today. A couple of vital saves. BFG my man of the match. Worryingly Fosu and Page taken off... Reeves unlucky to hit the post, and Konsas looping cross was closer than it should have been. Should've been more with a killer instinct. Fans were incredible, outsang Portsmouth all game... "where's your favourite atmosphere" being a particular highlight. Do I dare to dream?!
A fantastic, highly disciplined & committed performance this afternoon that bodes well for the rest of the season. Every player put a shift in, we were not at our most fluent going forward (Fosu off injured) and Konsa really struggled at right back. Special plaudits today must go to Bauer and Pearce who both gave warrior-like performances to keep Pitman quiet, but MOM was without a doubt Ben Amos, who pulled off an absolute “worldy” to keep out a deflected free kick. A word about the Charlton fans. 2,446 in the away end. Sang from the 1st to the last min...dare I say it was a much younger “Millwall type” following there today - felt a lot more passionate and rowdy, and no bad thing IMO. The fans will be the 12th man now, pushing the players over the finishing line.
Well done, you thoroughly deserved the win today, as the real Pompey never turned up ! I hope you go on to win the playoffs Your support was excellent, but, why oh why the smoke bombs ?! http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/934400784?-11209:804
Fantastic result today, and a deserved win for the travelling fans. It's a real pity that blip against Wimbledon and Scunny, and we're still looking at other teams results, but today was one to savour.
Blame Robinson 100%. These same players had given up on him, like the fans had. Bowyer shook hands with the ref at full time today, a quick clap to our fans, then straight down the tunnel. In terms of understated managerial decency, apres moi le deluge.
Not too far behind me. Cracking atmosphere today, been a long time since of I've seen the pompey fans so quiet.
Our centre backs and keeper were superb, thought Magennis put in a decent shift too. Good performances from everyone. Pretty sure I saw Elfsborg get hit by one of the smoke bombs too.
Junior, Elf wasn't in Portsmouth ............... he was in Royston ..... now that's something I didn't expect to type on social media
Never mind that - are you and @AllHellLetLoose coning back for the Blackburn game ? At the very least I would expect to see “the Elfs” at Rochdale .
