This was a loan deal which worked out very well for both parties. Amos' career has been revived and we have had a very very good 'keeper for a season. Thanks to Roland's stinginess and duplicity we didn't get him on a permanent contract, but I hope Phillips steps up to the mark next season.

Had a great season but I’m sick of loan bloody players ...hopefully it’s the end of that once new owners take over

Amos is a much, much better keeper than Dillon Phillips IMO
That will really weaken the team next season (Phillips for Amos)

The fourth paragraph in particular sounds as if Amos believes he will not be at Charlton next season.

He did better than I thought he would, and was certainly unlucky not even to be shortlisted for POTY. Perhaps some felt that nominating your goalkeeper for that award is somehow a negative thing to do. I can understand that point of view but I don't agree with it. Amos deserves to be recognised for playing well as much as any outfield player.

Curious typo in the last sentence. Unless Ben Amos plans to do a voice-over that Charlton fans can use on their sat-navs I think his intention was to say he would be rooting for us.
It's possible this error was down to one of those auto-correcting spell checkers you get on smart phones. Annoying little bastions they are!

At the beginning of the season there was nothing to choose between them, but Amos has gone from strength to strength. Maybe Phillips would, maybe not, but there must be some credit due to the goalkeeping coach.

Ben Amos' incredible save at Shrewsbury - the one where he was facing the wrong way when he saved it - has gone viral on social media.
    And rightly so <applause>

Strange he couldn't get into Bolton's team when we got him. SuperC always rated him though, and so it turned out.

I think Super was on a wedge to be fair. He was also President of the Ben Reeves Fan Club <whistle>

Which now has a membership of Ben Reeves himself <ok>

Perhaps Milton Keynes want him back in L2?

Fans warmed to Reeves for about 3 games...sadly he bottled it and went missing again at the end of the season when it mattered.
Lacks the heart to ever make it beyond League 1 level.

I agree with Ben Reeves he has the ability but lacks the heart. He would do better in a less physical league. Maybe in France.

I think we should sell Reeves this summer. For the number of decent games he has played for us, he isn't worth the rumoured wages. He was a Robinson favourite who hasn't justified the hype. Unless he grows 6 inches and adds 24lb of muscle, he will still be too small for this league next season. Shrewsbury showed the way you have to do it in this league. Muscular, physically fit and when necessary spiteful midfielders, players that can put their foot in. Reeves is a luxury player in a team that can't afford luxuries.

Classy statement from Amos- almost certain to be plying his trade at at least Championship level next year.
His performances in particular along that 3 game run VS Shrewsbury, Pompey and Blackburn were outstanding <applause>
