Massa went a-travelling into the gravel pit at turn 5, causing a redflag..... Interesting bit is there was smoke coming from the F150, from the little bits of info I am getting the marshals put it out quickly, but one site is saying the smoke was from driver error... wtf? Sutil leading the days testing thus far but way down on last years times.. maybe using and understanding the adjustable wing is slowing them down some, anyone know how heavy the KERS is now? Sutil is now the fastest of anyone over the past couple of days with a 1:13.201 verses Alonso's 1.13.307..
BBC is reporting that Massa's car had an oil leak which caught fire, causing him to spin off track, apparently he looked very angry. Can you blame him? It's obvious Alonso has been in the garage overnight sabotaging Massa's car...
Kubica now into the 1:13.893 zone... LMAO Goon... Alonso the most complete clamp breaker on the grid.... I was wondering how they could say it was driver error.. the thing caught fire ffs what did Massa do? drop his woodbine? ffs..
WHAT THE F**K IS SCHUMACHER DOING Get the Merc into the 1:13's ffs!!!!! (Better than Rosberg anyway...)
Ok take that back, he put ina good lap this mornin... Resource BBC Live Timing... 1020: Sticking with the Silver Arrows and Michael Schumacher climbs to second on today's timesheets with a lap of 1:14.537. I'm hearing the seven-time world champion set the time on the first of a five-lap run. Apparently his time dropped by only seven tenths between laps one and three. After a damp squib of a comeback season in 2010, is this year going to be the real second coming of Michael Schumacher? You tell me...

Mercedes times: Day 2 Rosberg 1:14:645 Day 3 Michael considerably faster than him today... testing goes on....
Considerably faster? What, a tenth of a second? And that's with the considerable problems that Rosberg had yesterday?
Curious how Trulli apparently completed 38 laps according to Team Lotus on facebook, but never set a lap time? Did he pit each time or something? Apparently he had no power steering for the whole day.
Looks like Mercedes may be having problems with both drivers mate, they both are quite slow. Or they may not (at this time) be wanting to show their true form.... Who knows. Anyway they have plenty of time to sort it out, loads more testing to do.
Solved: Schumacher undertook reliability and mileage accumulation work. Resource F1.COM Not setting fast times, its hard to remember this is not qualifying!!!... hehe
It is just the instinct to push the ones you support to do better... Wherever they are Quali, Practice wherever..
does anyone know what the force india and mclaren had on thier cars that were 2009 spec? ie Double diffusers or F-Ducts
They had the F-Duct (McLaren this is) and they would have had the double diffuse. Whitmarsh said the cars had been set up to resemble the new car as closely as possible regarding downforce levels and weight distribution.
The F-duct is definitely on the car, whether they're using it or not is another matter. I can't see why they would be. The double diffuser is also still on the car, but they've probably modified it to remove some of the downforce. Basically Whitmarsh said they're trying to mimic the 2011 car as closely as possible with regards to downforce levels and weight so they can collect accurate data for the Pirellis.
