I Know we all have our own thoughts on Sturridge but if he can stay fit and I know it’s a big if, then him and shaq just make our forward like so much stronger depth wise.

Not many teams could have that kind of quality coming off the bench or rotating. He’s got a lot of stick but I really would love Sturridge to shut us all up bang in a few goals and contribute well this season.

I can't think of many better players to bring off the bench to get you a goal In a tight game. He's completely different to anything we've got, a proper centre forward.

 

I love Sturridge and no doubt we will be left looking like fools at soMe point - but the guy is class. Imagine Shaqiri and Sturridge coming off the bench or playing in the cup games.

And he looks hungry and he’s chasing the ball down with intensity as well.

Not sure where he fits in to be honest. We have Fabinho Hendo Milner Keita Gini Shaqiri Ox in midfield. Of which Keita, Gini, Shaqiri and Ox can play that more attacking role.

He’s 30, injury prone and this team has evolved beyond him (and others). We’ve added real quality to this team - and it’s becoming very clear to see which players are being left behind because they’re not to the level of others ... I’m so hard right now!!

I wouldn't go so far as to say finished, but he's definitely not first on the team sheet. It's a demanding role in our midfield, having as much back up as possible is no bad thing.

I still feel he has something to offer, he's never been the quickest but he has good control and awareness and will link the midfield and attack well.

He's still a good option to have, plus he will be more willing to take his turn on the bench.

 

I really want us to give Curtis Jones more opportunities over lallana. He looks the biz

 

He does look special, hope he gets game time.

I suffer from the years of watching Liverpool look to the bench and seeing nothing there, or worse still a couple of injuries and jay spearing is suddenly in your first 11.

This is the first time in years I think we actually have a good squad, the last thing I want to happen is to start selling decent fringe players and be left up **** creek if we have a blip with injuries.

He fits in as a squad option. You don’t want Hendo and Lallana to play so you want our midfield options this season to be Keita Fabinho Milner Gini. 4 players for 3 positions isn’t right.

2 players for each position is where we want to be and I’d rather have Lallana on the bench to come on or step in durin cup games etc than having to play the same 3/4 midfielders all year.

 

Which is exactly what Klopp said in recent interview... he doesn't want a repeat of players playing 45-50 matches.
