My grandaughters would be chuffed to be at Fratton Park now. All those toys and abandoned prams laying around the ground. You wait, you should have had at least 5 players sent off and they should have had at least a dozen penalties and the Ref was biased along with the lino and the ballboys (oh hang on they belong to them).

Crap game to watch but I was impressed with our game management, we frustrated them for 96 minutes and it worked great. Can't remember the last time we were as clever as that it's always the opposition doing it to us.

Well done to them and Ross for that.

Beast of a match. Really, for the first time matched a 3rd div team for aggression. Who gives ashit about pretty football this was a war zone and the two first yellow cards meant they had to tread carefully. Proud of the lads this was a **** job well done.
Fancy us now - now we know when to battle when to play.

Standard was terrible, but the organisation and big Jon as usual were outstanding.

Hopefully McGeady and Watmore in contention for the final as we are a class down without both.

If we can have McGeady and Maguire on the park I fancy us.

I don’t care how we got there, we’ve done a great job over 2 legs. Portsmouth deserve **** all, cheating, fouling, trying to wind up from the start.

Kenny Jackett all over, and why he’s always fired and always failing. Wannabe Bermondsey ****er.

Totally agree with that. Later in the game I think it would have been. Not that is right but early on in game I think he was lenient.

Proud of the way they played. Ref was poor again, fan assaulting our player, first time I've ever seen a free kick given for shielding the ball. Wyke had much better 2nd half. Our short passing 2nd half frustrated them. Hopefully the ref is being consoled by the Portsmouth team.

Well done Sunderland, good luck for the final, it was an awful match, but you defended very well. Some of our fans are idiots but we aren't all like that.

Not a lot of love exists between the players or fans of our respective clubs, or so it seems. Reading between the lines you guys had overall control of the game in both ties so deserve to go through. As for Jackett´s game management is sounded awful - sending on Vaughan who seems to have a massive chip on his shoulder with regard to Sunderland. And no Curtis, who along with Lowe did much to have Pompey in pole position until the New Year.

I expected so much more from Pompey..they looked tired and totally without invention and conviction. apart from one or two attacks their play was predictable. Our midfield completely nullified their play. As I said earlier, turgid to watch, but job done.
