Dreadful day for the Vicars or whatever their nickname is Tonked big time on the world stage, and a miserable ten mile trip home afterwards to dwell on it.
Think you're being a bit harsh there, had it been anybody else Watford would have given them a game. Man C are just that much better than almost everybody. It's not the competition's fault.
Maybe I was a bit harsh, it's just the FA cup is struggling these days and game like this, which were a bit one-sided, doesn't help to get it's popularity back. Maybe out of the dominance of the European competitions this year, UEFA will give an extra place to English teams, and winner of FA cup can get the extra place?
Same as I did when putting up the thread for Rick, autocorrect changed it to Rich, and if I had my glasses on I would have noticed it.
Ajax reminds me of the heady days when we used to have civic celebrations for City in Vicky Square. Memories these clowns can never take away
Remember the first one in 2004, slightly Michael Mouse in retrospect in view of what was to come, but at the time it felt right and deserved. Some of us had to wait till middle age to see any kind of civic ceremony/parade in connection with our team, and the gates we were getting justified it. The HDM often used to have pix of Roger Millport or Arthur Bunton lording it on the balcony of the City Hall in front of hundreds of delirious rugby fans and there was nowt similar in the City archive. That life changing w/end in May 2008 culminated in historic never-to-be forgotten scenes with an open top bus ride through the streets and a big celebration in City square. At least we had our day and it was captured on film for posterity. Unlike the 2012/13 private party in the KC with about 5,000 people, or the historic 2014 FACF or the promotion in 2015/2016. Never to be repeated opportunities squandered due to pettiness and selfish egos.
Agreed. But we had a team full of British players who knew the history and tradition of the FA Cup. Arsenal on paper where miles ahead of us on paper but we showed fight and passion. Watford on the other hand where ****ing embarrassing.
Just seen pep wore a jumper instead of a suit. ****ing disgusting. Hope he gets a ban or at least a fine for such blatant disrespect.
Newspaper report said they were spraying champagne about in the dressing room. Not a non alcoholic alternative which was inclusive and not discriminatory against certain groups of people but champagne. The Cup should be awarded to Watford.
Maybe wouldn’t go that far but they should have a very big fine. We all know they won’t. But if we did it...
