Thank you for that. Keeping my fingers crossed that Corbyn and the opposition parties with the aid of some Tories win the day next week regarding the Brexit procedure.

Just a what if!!! Johnson instructs his MPs to stay away from the house. Can such a vote proceed if the Leader of the House is not there, nor his deputies. After all, aren´t they in control of the Parliamentary timetable?

Ha! No, there isn't a quorum in the HoC. The only MP who has to be there is the Speaker or his deputy, and you can rely on John Bercow to turn up. He has already described Johnson's move as an outrage and will be doing his best to thwart our putative dictator's plans.

The Queen has consented to the proroguing of Parliament. Worth remembering that the last monarch to pull a stunt like that met a sticky end...

Can you really blame her, though? I feel like she should just do whatever parliament asks her to do, otherwise its a monarchy. It's not her fault the UK voters are idiots.

It sort of is. Allowing that lot to Lord it all over us for centuries has bred a nation of grovelling serfs.

There are potential pitfalls along that road. Deselected MP's may stand as Independents and it's quite possible/likely that other anti Brexit parties will stand aside and give them a clear run. In addition there is the position of the Brexit party. Dick Tice but dim was on Newsnight last night and their line is that Pfeffel will sell them down the river if he gains a majority. It's potentially end game for Farage.

I would settle for her hand outs being cut back.
Let her and her family use their own money for their many jaunts.
