I’ve just took a warehouse distribution job for Xmas with an agency. Cash flow issue. Never done Manuel work before. Absolutely love it. Applied Monday started Wednesday. Peak time to earn extra
Aye, I did get offered some work with an agency, but then my work rung me and said come back to work Monday. Must have special deliveried a part from China.
Seems to be an increasing trend of employers pick up and then dropping workers as the work load changes, I guess it's a sign of the times. I remember mates working for Yorkshire Marine Containers years back who would always get laid off just before Christmas due to a lack of orders and then miraculously get taken back on in January, same in the summer, but they were the exception back then.
You could try Advanced Plastics on Sutton Fields...I hear they're always on the lookout for f/lift drivers...Good luck.
A mate of mine used to work for Reckitts Worked 13 weeks ,layed off for 1 week , taken back on , no holiday pay ! Only changed when working time directive came in !
