0-0 HT. A lot of the ball and played in their half, for the most part, but very little to show for it. Rarely tested the keeper. Mourinho will probably be content to tweak things at the break, unless Winks needs to come off. We're not playing with a striker and it shows.
Parrott might give us more of a focal point, which we need because little is sticking when we’re in possession. I’d happily see him on for Eriksen and ask Dele to play a bit deeper. As it is our front 4 are all over the shop, there’s no shape.
When’s Dele back from vacation this time? His brother’s having another prolonged spell in the side again.
Time for Parrott, we need a striker on the field, easy for Boro so far and they have looked dangerous from set pieces, time for Jose to be brave!
The 'best' you can say is that we managed not to concede. Dele's brother has taken long term residence again and feck knows why Eriksen is a) on the pitch at all but b) if he is, why allow him near set pieces. Another half of frustration...
Lucas had a couple of good runs in the first few minutes and then wasn't given the ball again. Teams often have a player that the players are told to 'feed'. With Chelski it was Hazard. Hopefully this second half Jose will tell them to give it to Moura.
I think Alli's playing too deep as it is. It looks like a 5-3-2 and he's on the left of the three, to me. Moura and Son aren't leading the line. The Brazilian's done well at the back on set-pieces though, strangely.
Wouldn’t mind seeing GLC for Eriksen or Dele as well, I think he might at least inject a bit of purpose into the play. Yeah they’re all over the place, it’s why I think we need a focal point and a change in midfield.
And the inevitable has happened, we haven’t come out for the second half yet. Make those changes Jose because this ain’t working
Losing to yet another lower division side will surely inform Levy that (a) half arsed Eriksen needs shot of, (b) we need another decent striker to share the workload with Kane (not come in as his understudy), and (c) invest heavily in our creaky defence. The problem lies with the team, not Mourinho.
