Off Topic Chinese phone firms

My mother has asked me what phone she wants and by my reckoning the Chinese lot are the best for her. However does Trumps trade war with them make such an acquisition unwise?

she really isn’t gonna use it for a great deal so other than that I thought the moto g7 power. Any ideas?

 

I have had a Huawei for the last 2 years and just got a new one, no problems with it. Good phone.

they stand to have no google updates and no android OS . If she just wants the basics right now should be ok but they will soon have to move to their own OS which maybe a problem .
I have G7 power & it is fine for me but having said that it is my first smartphone & i still hate them
