Given how good Masterson has looked, it's surprising he's not been brought into the side sooner. He could have played against Brentford instead of starting with Cameron at CB.
Have a read of this unbiased live match day thread on the Guardian...….so much better than the bbc/sky Leeds love in……... Well well – so much for QPR’s useless defence. It won them the game here, stifling Leeds throughout the second half despite Bielsa’s side seeing almost all of the ball. Slaven Bilic will be rubbing his hands at that result – West Brom can go four points clear if they win on Monday – while Bielsa is left looking nervously over his shoulder. But the very literal winners here are QPR, who not only showed that they have the attackers to mount a bid for the top flight, but also that their backline are not the mugs we all thought. A late push for promotion? I hope so. We’ll have a report up shortly – in the meantime, thanks for reading! Reading the sun today & all about wells hand ball & Leeds slipping up & missed pen, bloody journalism
I’ve looked three times but there appears to be absolutely nothing on the Championship at all in the English edition of the Sunday Times. Usually they wheel out Brian Granville, who must be ancient and must also live very locally, to write a paragraph about big games at Loftus Road. But nowt that I could find.
There is Stan. There is a championship round up, and we are the first featured game in the round up. Nowt special. Hand ball, missed penalty, Philips being a d@@@
Is that in the real paper version of the paper? I still can’t find anything on the app version, though with your comment seems like I’m not missing much.
West Brom claim him as one of their own. Robin Askwith Britain's favourite smutty comic film star, made famous by the "Confessions..." series, always made sure he got an Albion pennant into his films somewhere. Peter Hunt, purely in the interests of research, took on the task of watching a whole bunch of them just to make sure. That's dedication for you!
No he is one of us. He supports QPR because they trained near his school Merchant Taylors and he and Stan Bowles went out with a pair of sisters in the 70s and got to know each other very well
I have been of the opinion that we should buy a young up and coming defender rather than an experienced older head because by the time either are settled the season would be nearly over. With Masterson we can do the same from within and save a few bob, I still think another young defender could be useful for the future?
We have Giles Phillips playing regularly for high-flying league 1 Wycombe. Have said before with Barbet coming back, Hall as Captain, BFG and Phillips back next season perhaps we don't need more CDs
