Back on 7 November 2009, we played Cardiff at the Liberty. I had 4 tickets for Wales v New Zealand in Cardiff. The Swans were on TV first so my mate & I went into the Queens Vaults on Westgate Street fit a few bevvies and to watch the match. As you can imagine, it was roofed on International day! We went 2-0 and managed to contain our emotions. Then the Blueturds pulled it back to 2-2. When Pratley made it 3-2 my mate & I jumped up and shouted ‘Yeeessss!’ - the whole pub went quiet ..... Just after the whistle a gang of lads came over and said ‘Bloody hell lads, you’re either braver or more stupid than us!” They were Swans fans from the Ferry
I remember uncle Mark taking me to a game in the dark days of no away fans. He told me to keep my mouth shut otherwise they’d think I was Cerdiff. Don’t remember the year or score. That’s me, plastic til the end.
Struggles make you stronger and the changes make you wiser and happiness has its own way of taking its sweet time. We have had a lot of both over the years
You can't really appreciate the highs without knowing the lows. We had a good run compared to many other clubs who've not experienced that. I would like to do it again though Post-yanks would be a good place to start!
On this day 7 years ago - my 31st Wedding Anniversary - we beat Chelsea 2-0 on aggregate (0-0 on the night) to reach the League Cup Final at Wembley. A certain Chelsea player saw red.....
It was snowing heavy that night and a long walk down to the ground but wasn’t it worth it ps happy anniversary Taff and as a side note he should have kicked the little twat harder and three for his dad
On this day 5 years ago, we signed Jack Cork from Southampton Cork - who was 25 years of age at the time - signed a three and a half year deal.
