Sounds like we were well in it till the 2nd goal and then they scored another decent one

The difference really - 3 shots 3 goals with us giving Man U a kick start.

Basically our season starts in March..

Suppose it is good all the teams around us apart from Brighton.

You will never, ever, convince me that decisions even themselves up over the course of the season. Not ever.

Just our luck they spot the handball this time !

And this netural thought the 2nd might be offside:

My immediate reaction said that he was offside, and I was waiting for the VAR to confirm it. It never came.

On that showing Man U only succeed by playing on the break. Had we come for a point, we would have got it. We did let James increase in confidence, which didn’t help. Shaw took it on himself to niggle at Sarr consistently. Still I prefer it that we had a go-could do with a bit of luck.

Sounds like Kiko was never fit enough and Sarr only fit enough for 20 mins at best ..

I missed this game. Bizarrely I was playing in the dome at the WFC Training Ground on an FA course!
Matej was furious with the handball. I've only seen it once but thought Dawson had plenty of time to play it differently but for some reason played it with his arm. I accept if I'm wrong - I only had a quick look at it.
We weren't expecting points, but I did want to pick up our first ever double over ManUre! Anyway, results went our way with others dropping points they needed - we didn't need those points per se, nor from our next fixture. But we must be able to pick ourselves up after these two games and start scoring points again. That we do need.
To use a boxing analogy, I asked Matej if we had a crack at Utd, did we throw a few 'punches'? He said we did. And that's all I want from a game like that, have a go at them, put the wind up them a bit, let them know it won't be a walkover (to thoroughly mix my metaphors!).
Chins up, everyone. We should be alright. :)

Unfortunately given some of the handballs that have been given we cannot really complain about the Dawson one.

Martial was close to being offside though.

Sarr was physically targeted by their 23 on several occasions...

A deflating day all in all.. We took Mlles boyfriend who had crutches and a pot on.. So it was a real struggle for us.. A long walk from car to the stadium. Man U stewards were very helpful..
Hos view was that in the first half neither team was better.
Sadly two errors lead to their counterattacks.. And goals...
Manure took their chances and we didn't...
I really felt for Delefou at the end.. He became the target for a number of supporters as the game progressed.. And was so deflated he held back from coming up to out corner after the game.. This negative abuse of our own players is so bad IMO...
After TD went off we were finished really..

This taking of chances is an issue, it’s hurt us in several recent games. But abuse from fans is not going to help the situation. They are all professionals and put a proper shift in as far as I’ve ever seen. I do complain about finishing with Gray, because that’s a critical part of his job. I don’t mind the occasional miss, players having shots from outside the area, incidents like AM’s og, because I think you have to take the rough with the smooth; the only thing that ever annoys me and gets me really angry is if I don’t see effort. If they’re giving everything they’ve got and it’s not good enough, that’s down to the management not the player, and they should not receive abuse IMHO.
I think the last player I used to have a go at was Jordan Stewart, a man whose ego drew him out of position, I thought. And his dreadful free-kicks and crosses! <doh> But the current lot are good lads, I think, and if we go down we go down, so be it, it’s not like they don’t have a lot to lose. That wasn’t the fixture, nor is the next, that is going to save us.

    Agreed..
I think Delefou infuriates people because when it comes off it is brilliant.... but most of the time he runs into several players..

If Dawson wasn't shoved in the back he wouldn't have handled the ball.
Martial was offside... ye gods even BEIN pundit Andy Gray thought so.

He probably gets frustrated easily ..

No pace around him to pass to or rub with.

Luke Shaw - bit of a lump too!

Think that is a blown up boot in the picture tbf but still close.

Dawson fell onto the ball - harsh handball but guess it's the rules.

Just we haven't had it applied against us !

yes I thought Dawson was shoved.
I thought the pen was a dive, Foster hardly touched him and you can see the dive was an afterthought.
