Walton Street car park will remain what it is. West Park cannot be developed even with a land swop. The Stadium and Arena can only be developed within the confines of the areas they occupy. The Triangle has Crested Newts or something similar on it and no infrastructure and is unlikely to pass any planning. I put forward proposals to HCC sometime ago and was told not to waste my time trying. Quite a long time ago, I stated that the lack of infrastructure means that the Stadium has limited appeal. Retail and manufacturing have no need for new space when old sites cannot be filled and there isn’t money in housing builds in Hull compared to other areas. I do not believe that there is any real value to a private developer in buying the KCOM. It may soon require major refurbishment and the SMC has or had 11m of debt attached to it as all investment in the stadium is in the form of loans.
It’ll be a pain in the arse when every other **** turns up in a Sombrero. It was bad enough with Fezzes, For that reason alone, the Mexican’s can do one. Bigger than Chiquitos Bigger than Taco Bell Only leaves the Sinaloa Cartel.
You know when your on You Tube and videos just pop up. This came up and it actually made me cry, I want to experience those days again, the emotion of the players and of Steve Bruce and his family, even the Allams are happy (yes I know seeing £ signs) but oh wellhttps://youtu.be/-
Superb. you big tart if I want peeling these onions I’d come round and give you a ruddy goodtalking to.
Not the best map, take away the green space and the yellow sacrosanct fair ground, there is not a great deal left to do anything with. please log in to view this image
I enquired if the South Stand car park could be converted into a multifloor unit with a hotel between it and the stadium. No. Paved area between the bunds and the West Stand. No Astro Pitches. No The overgrown area between West Park and the Fairground. No Convert the Arena into conference centre. No All of the reasons given were either politics or status. I do have a plan in mind for the whole area, that would, I believe be viable, but, there is no money in it for me as an individual and I haven’t the time or money to push it forward. When I met the council, I had contact in a major developer, who before he took it further wanted to know what was possible. The fact is Chazz, that if the club had owned the stadium in 2010. I believe we would now be in league two playing in Costello and the KCOM would be West Park outlet centre. Nothing to do with the Allams, Bartlett would have developed the area.
I don't know what Montezuma's preferred position is, but if he's a striker, aggressive midfielder and could sub occationally in goal, he could be a decent signing. Perhaps there's some connection to this rumour ?
