You've been told to work at home?

 

I reckon we’ll be sent home at some point this week. Fingers crossed.

 

I'm assuming that I'll have to at least partially in the coming weeks. I'm not based at a hospital but have to visit one maybe twice a week which I'm guessing won't last much longer.

 

The way it is going, I think social distancing will be put in place Nationwide by next week.
Whilst the severity of the illness, health-wise, is being overstated by many, its spread is being underplayed by just as many.
We seem to be getting an increase of around 40% per day.
At this rate it will be in the thousands by next week.
If they want to slow it down, then they need to have people work from home, and close schools. If only for a week or two, its the only way to properly slow this thing to a halt.

 

Testing people on flights from Milan might be an idea too.

 

Gonna be a bad bad day and week for the markets. Proper bad recession on the way

 

Absolute bloodbath this morning.

 

It's the true problem of this virus.
No one wants to go on flights, cruises, holidays in general. People wont go to cinemas, eat out or for entertainment in general. People wont want to buy cars and houses soon.

A lot of low skilled workers are going to lose jobs over the coming weeks and months

With no end date in site, it's going to collapse

 

Oil prices collapsing today was the catalyst the market really didn't need.

I wonder whether Trump's supporters still think the virus is a hoax.

Well one of the parents of a girl in the school I work in has it. Won't be surprised if we close at some point

 

It wouldn't put me off flying to there or anywhere else as long has you adhere to travel advice. Which currently is to avoid the Lombardy region I believe.

I'm just as likely to catch the virus here as well has anywhere else, and as long has I take the advice given, I'm not going to walk my life in fear or put anyone else at risk.

Although I did see a story where ppl from Puglia (South of Bari) want checks on those entering from the North - i don't know how true the story is though.

 

Off to Blackpool for the upcoming weekend, no reported cases yet. I feel safe to do this weekend, as the virus can probably not survive the filth of Blackpool. LOL.

 

Give it a few more days and then buy. They are going to crater but medium term should be good once Saudi and Russia sort their little spat In the meantime a lot of shale has and oil goes offline and wont come back on for a while.

 

Do you think the oil prices will drop a bit more? They've pulled back 10-15% since the opening but the S&P Futures have hit their CME limits so **** knows what's going to happen when the US opens.

 

Not really. The next week or two is the right time to buy them. The world is addicted to oil, this Saudi v Russia thing is like two coke dealers dumping gear on the market. There aren’t many businesses where the absolute dependence of consumers on the product is unshakable.

My point was more the timing. Now or in the next few days would be the time to buy. Actually first thing this morning was the time to buy.
