Of course the squad is better but so what? The one Keane delivered after 2 years was 10 times better than the one he had inherited too. Not many managers do fail to improve a squad but its what you do with the squad that matters. Many have said we would have done much better if bent and Gyan hadn't ****ed off. I'd have to ask the question WHY they left along with Cana after 5 mins? Money is one part but something smells a bit to me.

Bruce has a way to go to match Reids record imo and one win on Sunday hasn't suddenly made Bruce a top manager. He is still out on licence imo and where we are in January will decide his future. The abject failure to replace bent and now Gyan inside 6 months, still ranks as a huge black mark for me, as is the failure to strengthen the areas we all knew were weak last season.

Jury still well out on Bruce imo. Well out.

  4. The stats over the last 9 months are the flaw but hopefully after last weekend we can sort of smile again. I still think the man has a great eye for a player but that is it. I hope we kick on from the Stoke game but I'm not confident with the tactical nous that Mr Bruce offers..

40 years is very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very patient kidda.

Bruce has come under fire quite rightly for a home record in 2011 that is as bad as at any time in the past 20 years. If we wait until we are in absolute **** straights before showing our displeasure then it could well be too late. Maybe the unrest and public outcry actually forced Bruce to change the midfield for the game last weekend. Who knows?

If we become apathetic towards ****e results then the management and players will do likewise. Give them a right rollicking up the arse now and again and you see the difference on the pitch.

Bruce is a very good recruitment agent. Possibly the best. Can you imagine who he would get if he were at ManU, Arsenal or Liverpool? The players he's got to come and play for us are a great improvement on what we've had over the last 6 years or so, though Keane did a good but expensive job getting better quality players to get us out of the Championship. Bruce certainly isn't expensive - he's done a great job financially.
But then what happens once the players are in? They play well for a while, get injured and leave. Whatever the reasons behind it, Bruce's management is ultimately responsible.
He has now got a good set of players together, though the side (left side) is far from complete, but what makes you think this turnover in personnel is going to stop?
We had a great performance against Stoke - was I a happy bunny on Sunday evening! - but we did the same at Chelsea last year, held it together for a while and then went on the annual slump.
I suppose we have to give Bruce a third chance but I want to move onwards and UPwards and I really don't think Bruce is the man.
The finances are balanced and the players we have are good but it needs other qualities to make the most of them.

He's improved the squad but I'm pretty sure I could have with the money that wad spent.

I think that the criticism of Bruce was justified and I think he'd do himself a favour by admitting that.

Think about the people who work really hard to get some money to see a game only for us to lose.

He has got a long way to go to become better than Reid and win over certain fans.
