I like the idea of a big win (I love a gamble myself) so personally i'd go for option C. That way you have at least a very good profit from what was a small stake, but you won't be kicking yourself too much should the draw come in. Either way mate, you're quids in so don't panic too much!

I'd definitely rule out A, as C is basically the same winnings except you get £100 guaranteed anyway.

Mathematically the smartest thing to do is leave it as it is. Depends on your financial situation and how much you can afford to risk that kind of money. It's like on Deal or no deal when someone has the 1p and the big one left (think it's £250k) and the banker offers them £50k. Obviously you're being completely ripped off but you have security if you take his offer.

BTW Chappaz, how much do you usually earn from your accumulators? You could do a weekly thread for us if you're any good like Maginthesun used to do. <cheers>

I'd split it and go for £1000 on both mackems and Norwich. You started out with nowt (or next to nowt) and your guaranteeing yourself £1000ish. Thats a canny bit of wedge off just a weekend of football fixtures. If you don't and you lose the lot, you'll be gutted.

I don't know you mate but i know i'd be canny gutted to be that close and come away with nowt.

Good luck with whatever u do though.

    Bet365 pal.

It's a tricky one really. Luckily it isn't a life changing sum of cash, so the pressure to get at least something massive isn't as high.

**** all <laugh> I've came close a few times but this is the first time I've been so close on such a canny win.

C is looking likely. Plus, I'm not really a fan of plunging £1500 into my Bet365 account. Don't trust them enough to tell you the truth.

C basically feels to me like the least disappointing option if the result didn't go my way.

If I put £1000 down on each I'd either win £1200 profit (the draw), £640 (Norwich win) or £980 (Sunderland win).

Looks good to me, i'd probably try to balance it a bit though because i fancy Norwich more than the mackems, maybe £1200 Norwich, £800 Sunderland?

Sounds like you'd do a similar job to Maginthesun then. :D

I used to be with Bet365 years ago, but my Debit card expired and for some reason they wouldn't let me add a new one. I'm basically with everyone but Bet365 now.

In most good betting websites you can just select all of the results you want and they will go in your coupon down the right hand side. It then gives you the option to place individual bets on individual results, or place an accumulator bet.

Mate, you can lay the draw on Betfair @3.4, so laying, say 700 notes would guarantee you 664 if either side win or 1632 for the draw. Mess about with the amounts to what suits you and dont forget your 5% commission. I'd personally lay it like.

This seems like a good place to ask..

    Accy for Champions League

    Man U V Basel
    Real Madrid V Ajax
    Trabzonspor V Lille - Draw
    AC Milan v Plzen
    Arsenal V Olympiakos
    BATE V Barcelona
    Marseille V Dortmund - Draw
    Shakhtar V APOEL
    Valencia V Chelsea - Draw

3 quid returns £380... anything anyone would change?

edit: I could add Napoli (vs Villareal), Benfica (vs Galati) and Lyon (Zagreb) wins and get £1466!

Maybe go for an away win for Lille? Trabzonspor got lucky in that they played a terrible, woefully underperforming Inter side.

If you have a chance to definitely get AT LEAST £495 then why is this even being asked!? Of course go for the hedged bet and then you could still win as much as £1700!

I think I'll take your advice on that.. gives me a return of over 1500 if I add the extra games in!

I personally think Norwich are going to win tomorrow, the mackems are bound to let you down. Go for option B then if it is a draw you still win £1700! Otherwise you've made a handy profit anyway.
