    Very fair points.

As long as family units are sat 2m apart, I'd hazard a guess that the spread of the virus outdoors on a beach is very low.

And as you say, keeping the population locked up for longer will most likely have an adverse effect regarding morale and mental health.

The media love to scandalise and point fingers. It sells.

Should have been done from the beginning. Temperature check to get on the plane, mask, temperature check when going through passport control on the way out and then isolated in one of the empty airport hotel rooms for the test at the travellers' cost, if anything not normal. Makes no sense to me why this wasn't done in the UK, yet was successfully implemented across Asia.

The amount of cars on the road home today you wouldn't have know we were in lockdown...

Might have been the bloody tractor slowing everyone down at the front though...

Given the likely scenario that you've just paid 3 times the pre-coronavirus standard fare, you've had 1 ration ticket for the toilet, your mask is sweaty and your specs have steamed up, the trolley dolly hasn't come out of her oxygen tent at all during the flight and that you've just stood for 5 hours at border control practising social distancing......I can see numerous raised temperatures!!!

It's also to do with the knock-on effects though. If we're still trying to protect the NHS then more people out and about will inevitably increase the pressure on NHS which we are told is a bad thing. Potentially more traffic accidents, more hospital calls fewer ambulances available for CV19 sufferers. Potentially more 'normal' accidents putting pressure on the NHS and so on. Also what did the seaside resorts do to deserve all this? They're at a higher risk of catching the virus because of the visitors, there are no facilities open so litter is everywhere, people pissing behind trees and so on. The locals get left with all the crap to clear up and they can't even console themselves with the thought that the local economy is benefiting because everywhere's closed!

As for family units sitting 2m apart, fat chance, there's hardly enough space. And do you really believe these myriad groups of people are really family units? I don't for one minute.

I think people are being utterly selfish. Heavens sake, there was even a woman interviewed the other day on a crowded beach in Devon with her 'family unit', they'd driven 100 miles or so to get there and she was complaining about 'all these people' being there!

I did my supermarket shop today, perfectly civilised and organised and respectful of the recommendations. Perhaps you should change shops? :emoticon-0105-wink:

How do you practice social distancing at Heathrow. Yes, a very busy, the busiest airport in the UK, handling 100,000passengers a day?
Meanwhile, Speedbird whatever number is parked awaiting offloading the self-loading cargo and three incoming trans Atlantic flights have been told to divert. Stanstead and Gatwick are experiencing the same problems, just one of them landing at Humberside will shut it down. Meanwhile another six transatlantic flights having passed their pnr, just say **** it, and park in the hogging. Yep, all sorted, piece of piss reopening airports.

I’m the one pointing the finger here. Coming down the Main Street observing the social distancing when two halfwits pushed between us, when asked what they were doing, they said going for a pasty. Not young kids, not yobs, just a normal looking middle aged couple. You couldn’t make it up. People will not socially distance here, because they obviously don’t at home. They should just **** off back there. When they are there they should **** off further back then just **** off.

I was thinking of using the M&S Food outlet in my local hospital but the front doors locked, apparently we're saving the NHS, by dying in our homes.....

How do you know they weren't locals walking back home after a stroll along the beach? Where do they **** off too if they were?

It's clearly up to individual adults to use any common sense they may have.

Unfortunately I have no choice in the matter as I have to go to work. If I don't, we close, putting people's jobs in jeopardy, otherwise I'd be at home doing the garden.

Remember early on in all of this? "We had to go to war, all you have to do is stay home and watch the telly". Get a ****ing grip!

    You’d hope so wouldn’t you

if it’s ok inside at work then outside anywhere would be better as long as that distance was followed

    Point of order

    Surely it’s ‘oggin’ not ‘hogging’?
Or have I been saying the wrong thing all my life? (I accept I will have been regarding other things)
