I always worry for things when this happens. But normally it’s because it means the manager is about to be sacked.............
There is no way on earth that he will be managing us next season if the takeover goes through. They will want a top manager to attract top players. He can stay and finish this season off. To show them how **** the football really is. Even he must know that if this did happen he would get found out within weeks.
I think so, I just think we'll be waiting slightly longer for a full announcement. As I said previously, I think we're going to get an all-singing, all-dancing announcement with at the very least a structural overview and DoF, possibly even a change of manager and new signing or two. We'll all need to know who's leading the club, for example, on a day to day basis - that hasn't even been made clear via any rumours. Al Rumayyan is chairman, which is not day to day. Possibly Staveley but she has zero experience, so how could she? Jamie Reuben has been mentioned, but not guaranteed either.
There are so many things that need to be sorted out and discussed, all of which the Saudi's will want to have sorted which seems to be their way. 1. New Manager - regardless of what anyone thinks Bruce cannot stay long term, for the rest of this season at the very most after which a nice little hand-shake with an envelope of dosh and a thank you very much. 2. Management Structure - DOF/CEO/COO etc 3. Marquee signing(s) - could just be rumours but they may want to have at least one signing to announce but personally I don't think they will. 4. Kit deal - Agreement with Puma is up either at the end of this season or next (i can't recall from memory). I don't think we'll be staying with Puma so they will be looking at options for alternatives. 5. Shirt sponsor - agreement with Fun88 ends either this season or next, again I can't recall for sure so they will be looking at options for alternative here too, and potentially even looking at the Man Utd model with different sponsors for training kit etc as a way of generating additional revenue / getting around FFP. 6. Stadium naming rights - possibly not at this early stage or even at all but it might be part of their discussions. 7. Assets and infrastructure - land/buildings and the condition and what needs investment in the short/medium/long term. 8. Strawberry Place - they may be looking at whether it's possible to buy this land back as they want it for development of the ground etc rather than see it lost to the commercial sector for offices etc. Some of the above may not even be factoring in to discussions but they're all considerations and I'm sure have all come up at some point along the way. New Manager (and his associated back room team) is probably the most obvious and biggest one as well as the Management Structure. I think this will be the official announcement but that they will also outline their plans/vision for covering off all of the other items above.....it's not an exhaustive list by any stretch of the imagination and may be a million miles away from reality but I'd be shocked if the vast majority of those items haven't been discussed at some level. Not long to wait now though until all is revealed.
Unless Krafth has suddenly got a lot better over lock down, I'm not sure about manquillo moving on. I have no issues with Shelvey going though
this and tbh anyone still on the manq bashing needs to watch his performances the past 12 months.. he's been very good
