Supporters wishing to reinstate their 2020-21 season card and re-join the Direct Debit payment plan are now able to do so.

Following a recent meeting with supporters’ groups, season card holders will now be entitled to a pro-rata refund for any games played behind closed doors during the upcoming campaign.

Of course this announcement came after the previous Direct Debit deadline expired, leading to many supporters wanting to renew their season card using the four-part payment plan, but being unable to do so.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused, and supporters wishing to reinstate their renewal following the latest update can now reactivate their season card and re-join the Direct Debit scheme using their online ticketing account.

Supporters are advised that the online option is available for standard adult tickets only. To reinstate any other tickets, including concessions, please contact our ticketing team by emailing [email protected].

The deadline to reactivate season cards is Thursday 16th July, with the first payment scheduled to be processed on Monday 3rd August.

Supporters will then join the pre-existing payment schedule, which is dated as follows:

    Second payment: 1st September
    Third payment: 1st November
    Fourth payment: 1st January

As previously announced, all unrenewed seats will continue to be reserved until further notice.

Supporters wanting to buy a new 2020-21 season card can also join the August to January Direct Debit payment plan by visiting eticketing.co.uk/safc.

The Stadium of Light Box Office remains closed to the public, and further information regarding its re-opening will be announced in due course.

We would like to once again thank supporters for their continued patience and support throughout the 2020-21 renewal process.

not a hope in hell. I'd need to see a massive change in attitude and a positive statement of intent to renew mine. I've already pretty much written off next season as not worth the chew-on. not easy after 50+ years, but this covid **** has got me re-evaluating things lately, and the treatment of fans by SAFC has put them way down my list of priorities. **** them.

They met RAWA and the branch liaison committee (BLC) a couple of weeks ago. From RAWA they met Andrew Hird the Chair and Jane Hughes the vice chair, and I believe malcolm bramley (who is senior supporters rep for RAWA and used to be a club secretary at safc) was present as well, they're all good people and none would let them take the piss.

To be fair, from what I've heard Rodwell was canny, and they genuinely think he might be trying to do his best (albeit too early to tell and actions speak louder than words), I've been told he was a good lad though which has made me want to give him a bit of a chance. People there have been in meetings with a lot of Sunderland owners and directors in recent years and genuinely felt he was different.

The annoying thing is that RAWA said they'd discuss the season card idea before the first statement came out (the club didn't want to). When it came out and was ****, RAWA sent them a list of questions, ones that were obvious but which came from the group and from the fans. That formed the basis of their Q&A statement (where they basically said "no, **** you" to every question). Once the saw the scale of the anger, and found a lot probably wasn't legally enforceable, they asked RAWA and BLC to meet. Can't necessarily blame Rodwell, that might have been in stone before he joined, and Reid going is a positive that he might have been involved in. But either way it's poor for the club

PS this might make no sense, if so, sorry. I was told my role at my work was at risk of redundancy last week, just found out yesterday that I'm safe, so I'm getting ****ing mortal. Anything that isn't clear let me know and I'll clear it up in the morning (or afternoon tbh)

Might be nitpicking because I hate the ****ers, but isn’t taking the last payment on 1st January a bit ****ing brutal for folk who haven’t the funds to pay in full?

Where are the club going with this? All previous seats still reserved until the grounds are safe to open again? So what's the point? What obvious reasons am I missing?

This was so obvious I was not even going to answer.. I think Blonde Bombshell must be one of these who expects the owners to fund the club out of their own pockets..

Thought the club had made a profit and were in a very healthy position? Just goes to prove you cannot believe everything you hear
